Great self-guided tours of rum plantation with audio programmed to your language of choice. Beautiful gardens, interesting history and architecture. Rum tastings were generous, and staff was very helpful.

Rum on Martinique is the real thing. Unlike rum made anywhere else in the world, it is made from the entire sugar cane. Rather than fermenting the sugar that comes from the sugar cane (your Bacardis and EVERY other rum), rum made in Martinique is...More

There is a self guided tour of the rum distillery, which was interesting. The grounds are beautiful with gorgeous trees, sugar cane and flowers. At the end of the tour, you can have rum tastings, which were very interesting.

I dragged my husband and a friend along with me on this tour and I think they enjoyed it more than I did!! The grounds are exquisite and beautifully maintained. Very easy to walk around. There are some interesting tropical plants and trees on the...More

24 Euros for two people to visit the grounds. Poor directions around the grounds. No rum is made here. Sampling and store are decent but save the 24 Euros and buy a bottle of rum in a local store instead.

you be really interested in old history about some times which are basically depressing to us. We got out of there soon as possible to keep our vacation more stress free. Most of the ship's island tours on the island seem to arrive here for...More

The self-guided tour is obligatory before you can taste the product but well worth it. You are able to stop and enjoy those things that interest you and move on past those that don't. One of the highlights, besides the excellent photographs of workers and...More

Beautiful home, very enjoyable old distillery equipment preserved from earlier era - rum is now made nearby. Best part of stop is tasting room - superb examples of very high quality rums. A very nice stop. Well worth the drive.

The Clement Habitation appears to be one of the premier attractions on Martinique. In reality it is simply another rum distillery but does have a manor house which is partially furnished. We went primarily to see the house which took less than ten minutes. The...More

Hi Patty, I did this on my own. (Really on my own as I went without my husband.) I flew down on American Airlines and stayed at a hotel in Trois Islets. The front desk gave me the name of a taxi driver and he charged me 60... More

I don't remember seeing any. Most visitors had rented cars or came in on tour buses. The area is pretty remote, there were no taxis waiting.

I did notice taxis in the parking lot when we visited. I couldn't tell you whether they would take a fare back to the pier or whether they were there with prearranged groups. You may be able to make arrangements with your... More
