There is many "habitations" to visit in Martinique, most of them either ron distilleries of Banana farms. This one is among the oldest with many things to visit: The house, the garden (arboretum), the "Chais" and the old distillery. You also can taste the various ron varieties at the end of the tour (but if you taste more than 2,... More

We spent several hours here, touring the gardens, the now unused Rum distillery, and finally in the tasting room. Loads to see, enjoy and do, even the kids had fun (except in the tasting room!). The gardens are beautiful, you'll need bug spray. Lots of cool modern sculptures on display. The distillery was well signed and interesting. The Audio tour... More

Loved the dining room laid out ready for some swanky dinner. The low ceiling fans humming and the palm trees swaying outside add colorful and soothing effects for this noble place. Check out the video of the summit meeting between Presidents Bush and Mitterrand after the Golf war.

If you love rum, plantation or mansion style living of old then Habitation Clement is a must to you. Habitation Clement is a mix of factory, rum production, park and living history of Martinique all together in one place. We got there on a rainy day but nevertheless it was a great experience. First you get a tour of garden... More

The Habitation Clement is a fantastic opportunity to visit a beautiful plantation, a traditional distillery and an authentic creole house all in one go. From the moment you arrive you'll have the feeling of stepping into another time - a time when people worked the land and there hard work and patience was transformed in to a product that was... We had a head sert with commentary of the places of interest. This was useful, although occationally they weren't working. the grounds are accessable and the whole place had a 'looked after' feel about it. The house and distillery were interesting, also the pistures of the American presidential visit .

We found this place using the Tourist Map, and the signs from the nearby town. It is way more that a Rhum distillery. There is a large number of sculptures on the large property that are worth a look. The local art student spend a bit of time there by all accounts. We had a guided tour of the property... More
