Hydra, Poros and Egina Day Cruise from Athens with Optional VIP Upgrade

1,010 reviews
Visiting the islands of Hydra, Poros, and Egina from Athens in a day is challenging, especially without chartering a boat or taking multiple ferries. This cruise makes it possible aboard one comfortable ship, and includes time to stroll and shop on each island. Relax with pre-arranged tickets and timings, enjoy an onboard lunch, take island tours (at your own expense), and upgrade for VIP boarding and lounge access.

Spent there whole day. Was worth it as was out of season and much much less tourists. Clear water, used a snorkeling mask to watch colourful fish.

Best water with best friends. Happiness is here. It is easy but not too easy. A place to love and long for.

The best beach in all Aegina. I mainly visited Marathonas A'. It is like an exotic beach with endless sand and shallow/warm waters. It is ideal for those having kids. It is crystal clean and has 2 of the best places in Aegina for food. La Palma and Ammos. They both also have sunbet sets that are for free if you get something from the menu. I recommend this 100%. Just a little advice: visit this area last if you want to see other places in Aegina. It is so good that if you go there in the beginning, like I did, you won't want to see anything else! Bonus for those that will rent a studio; there's a Kritikos supermarket that stays open all day (the rest close between 14.00-17.00)!

Our favourite place to go for a swim out of Aegina town was the second half of Marathonas B with just a small umbrella and sunbeds rental place. The sea here is perfect, easy to get into the water, good for children, but not shallow for too long to have to trek to start swimming. It is possible to come here by taking the bus to Perdikka further south, but since it is often too crowded, we preferred to go by taxi: 10 minutes one way, 8 Euros. For an umbrella with two sunbeds we had to pay 7 Euros. A shower is available near the parking lot. Drinks could be ordered and they were brought by a friendly young lady from the bigger sunbeds rental further north. If one comes here by taxi or bus one must be aware that out of Aegina first comes 'Marathonas A', which has taverns and is more lively. We generally preferred Marathonas B fur more quiet and just swimming. Once we got here by taking a hike from the attractive small village of Pachia Rachi via the superb old olive trees of Elaionas on a path, which has not too frequent signposts and is quite rough, especially in the last part towards Marathonas beach, but still beautiful otherwise.

Great beach to relax on. No music blaring out. Lots of places to eat with free sun beds but get there early in the morning as if you go later all the beds are taken.
