Very nice views. Road to the cap is very dangerous to drive, high cliffs and a lot of curves. Not for big vans or coaches. Not enough parking spaces on the end at the cap/lighthouse! A long time waiting queuing up to be able to...More

What a beautiful drive to get here. The roads are windy and can be quite frightening at times when cars going the opposite direction are going a little too fast but the scenery is breathtaking and well worth this longish drive.

Drove our rental VW minibus up the mountain to check out the views, somewhat scary at times but boy was it worth it. You park in a makeshift car park and walk to the summit via some steps and then hold your breath for the...More

We drove from our hotel to Cap de Formentor and it was worth the 1.5 hours drive. The last few hundred meters might have taken a bit longer as the road is windy...and a bit tight when two cars passing each other (some people don't...More

The drive is stunning all the way. Tight roads and hairpin bends, narrow in places and as others have said not for the faint hearted. The last 800 metres I reckon took us about 45 minutes as one in and one out system in the...More

Stunning views at the cape and on the way but if you're visiting by car in the summer months hit the bottom of the climb before 9:30am at least and you'll be rewarded with a much more relaxing experience.

Rented a motorbike for the day we visited this place, and every minute was worth it. Went all the way from Paguera (southwest part of the island) to the lighthouse, and it's an experience for a lifetime. The serpentines, the scenery, everything was unbeliavable. We...More

A lovely drive through the mountains to reach Cap de Formentor. The roads are not for the faint hearted at times, certainly wouldn't have wanted to have been a passenger with the wife driving ;) Fantastic views once you reach the summit. The only negative...More

We can really recommend the Cap of Formentor, a very north point of Mallorca. Great view to take some pictures and keep the experience in your memory! Enjoy your holiday.

When i could drag myself out of bed for a 6am ride to the lighthouse this was the most amazing ride any cyclist could dream of. The sun rising, a couple of cars, many goats, the switch back climbs and descents, the cool forest ride...More

I cycled from Port du Pollenca to Cap de Formentor and that was a lovely ride and avoided the massive tailback of motorists. You would need to be a reasonably fit cyclist though. An alternative might be to hire motor... More

You will need to hire a car, it's about a 1hr drive from Palma. You could look at buses but it would be a long (and hot) journey. There is no charge to take in the views.
