Amazing point of view
May 2021 • Couples
Excellent Point of View where you can see at 360 degrees the north of Mallorca, we access to the top by car, be careful of the different potholes on the road. Also there is not so much space to park cars up there, be sure that there is not so much tourists… Also driving to the top could be difficult if you encounter tourist bus!

Worth the short climb ...
Dec 2019
Get there early and avoid the crowd. Slow drive up, but east drive. Incredible views in all directions. Lots of goats!

Amazing views & quite spot
Sep 2019 • Couples
A lot of people miss this amazing spot ...take the road UP the mountain opposite the viewing spot. It brings you up a winding and scary road to a viewing point and turret. Easy enough to climb up the turret. Views - amazing!

It1s a great place you can actually climb up to the tower if you're not faint-hearted as the ladder is on the outside wall for the first part of the climb. Good thing is very few people go all the way up there due to the heat and to the faact that they get deterred by the narrow raod leading almost all the way up. I went with a bike all the was up and actuall found a semi-dismantled building at the bottom of the tower to serve as a shady garage for the bike until I climb the final part and the tower.

Great scenery, viewpoint & sunrise
May 2019 • Solo
Location that offers great views to the Formentor peninsula on one side and Port de Pollenca, Alcudia and east part of Mallorca on other side. You can reach the tower by car taking mountain road from Mirador Es Colomer. Other option is that you park car in parking at Mirador Es Colomer and go on foot - it is to the tower and back about 4,5km with 180m ascent.
I would recommed to catch sunrise in good weather - it is worth.

Serene views
Jun 2019 • Couples
Follow the signs to Formentor, stop at the view point- the road between Puerto Pollensa and the view point is windy with a few hair pins. It’s is a fine road though with a white line in the middle. We were nervous about this drive due to other reviews but it really was fine. When you get to the viewpoint turn right up the steep road. It is a 2km drive and the road quality is much worse. Most of it is single track but there are wider areas for passing. At the top there are spaces for a few cars and to turn around. You can park here and walk further up the road to the watch tower. It is quiet, serene and beautiful. The views are outstanding and it is far from the madding crowds of the tour buses down at the view point.

Stunning views! Beware of people steeling you wallet though. Put your wallet in a save place and keep your eyes on your bag. And take a lot of nice pictures of course!

One of (if not the) best views on Mallorca
Sep 2018 • Friends
The ascent to the torre is a good cycling challenge. (Ok, so it's not Sa Calobra). Just turn right at the Mirador es Colomer and keep going up. The road quality decreases so be careful on the descent but the climb up is well worth the reward. If you're up for it, you can climb up the metal steps up the outside of the torre, clamber inside then up to the roof. The view especially on a good day is fantastic.
The only downer is the number of cars attempting to get there, especially in high season and on Sundays. The road cannot cope with more than a handful. Go by bike. Or electric bike. I know someone who did the lighthouse to Formentor and return to Alcúdia on one. So this should be no problem. Enjoy.

Stunning drive, even more stunning scenery.

Hire a car, drive to Port De Pollenca, drive a bit further following signs for Formentor. Enjoy the short drive up to the viewing area (and stop and enjoy the views at the viewing area) then take the road directly opposite the viewing area. A 2 Km 'interesting' drive but the end result is so so so worth it (if you like views) STUNNING.

Fantastic
Jul 2017 • Couples
For us it is a mandatory stop on the way to Cap de Formentor, the views are fantastic, you can see the cliffs and the blue sea, even though it is always very crowded up there. You can enjoy a deep peace that only the immensity of the sea can give. A Lot of people avoid to climb the long stairs, but we recommended doing it.
