Amazing breathtaking experience for all ages! X
This was an absolutely amazing experience that just kept on giving. From the moment we arrived to the very minute we left the staff were attentive and engaging. The day was memorable and exciting! The horse trek was lovely and pleasant for beginners though they had other options for intermediate or even wagons for those who just fancied sangria and a chill.

    We had a great time
We hade a great time riding! We were in the gallop group. We are experienced riders and it was very fun anyway. We got to gallop manny times. I think our guides name was madelen. She was really good and clear. The horses seems to be doing well and they where easy to ride. No problems and very fun.

    Beautiful and unforgettable memory
I wanted to treat myself for my 50th birthday to something that is unforgettable. I did! I had a two hours horse 🐎 ride at Rancho Grande and the ranch was beautiful...the surroundings were absolutely breathtaking and the staff were very friendly..I didn't want to leave, that is how much I loved it!! If you like horses, nature, and looking to unwind, I would highly recommend this place. A great "soul" recharge, no doubts about it!

    Best night ever
Had a fantastic time. Went horse riding in the easy group first after some sangria. Took very good care of us. Then food. After some line dancing and entertainment. Also noticed how well they take care of the horses. Very gentle and loving towards them. You can see they care and love there job. Went twice loved it so much. Highly recommend.

Mis sold. Me and my partner booked this experience as a nice end to our holiday. Spending €172 for a horse ride (40 mins) in a line of 20+ other people with the horses less than a meter apart. After that we were told that we would have dinner and drinks. After 2 hours of waiting for dinner we finally were all crammed into this one room where our food was literally thrown onto the plate. All the baked potatoes were absolutely solid and we were put on a table of 20 + other people that we did not know. Very bad overall experience and had to pay for a taxi so that we could leave early. Would 100% not recommend to anyone

At first glance it was fine if a little tired looking, the horse were on the lean side but have probably had a busy season. They were tied up on hard ground with no hay or water but I presumed that was just to get them ready. None were well groomed. My horse, Silver was sound but seemed uncomfortable in trot and had his head high and then I noticed that his saddle was really tight. All the horses had lots of padding under the saddles but most of them didn’t fit well at all. The ride was well organised and safe but one of the ponies with a young boy on was SO skinny 😢. Generally the staff tried to make sure the guests didn’t pull on the reins too hard but would then heap the horses roughly by the bit to move them around.

When we got back about an hour later the horses we didn’t use were STILL tied up in the sun with no food or water fully tacked up.

In the show the Shetland pony was in great condition but trained to do tricks by basically being yanked with a sharp bit and threatened with a whip, poor thing looked really annoyed.

Food was ok, entertainment was ok, honestly though, I would not go back and wish I hadn’t ridden.

These horses deserve much better as they earn the money.

I understand business must be hard but there’s things that could be done to make the horses more comfortable without busting loads. WATER for example and untacking them.

I bet people would pay to groom them and learn about horse care and might rather spend time doing this that watching a pony get ragged around.

Went here on Wednesday evening for the barbeque and show. There had been a huge thunderstorm the night before and we had the rep check whether it was going ahead and they confirmed it was. Went on one of the two sangria wagons. We had only travelled about 300 metres when the wheels got bogged down in mud over 8 inches thick, the wagon in front of us had the same thing happen. After trying to get the mules to pull it free it was decided everyone off the wagons to lighten the load so we were standing in all the mud. We were directed to walk through the field next to them which was still muddy and full of high prickles. We then reboarded with shoes covered in mud. After another 250 metres the same thing happened and we were again directed to walk through this field. We reboarded and then found we couldn't turn at the gate as there was a huge deep puddle that the cart couldn't navigate through and we were told we were turning back. Again everyone off into the mud. When we finally got to the "barbecue " one lad was serving everyone. We were served a small pork kebab on the plate with nothing else, then we received a jacket potato on its own, then a very chewey steak with salad of lettuce and tomatoes following. Most of us by this time were totally fed up and went outside to wait for the show. One hour later we were still waiting as another coach load had come in and had just received their meals, which, interestingly enough were served on the same plate! Totally sick by this time we gave up and paid for a taxi back to the hotel. Awful experience never to be repeated.

I booked this with my teenage daughter as I saw it was horse riding on the beach. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and we were placed into three levels with me and my daughter in the trotting middle group. Lots of trotting and the guides make sure you are doing this properly to make sure you are in the right group. The horses looked well cared for and responded to instruction. Sadly although we were on sand at some point we did not ride on a beach so this was a little misleading. Also it was very hot and dusty riding for two hours around midday as it was not possible to take bags so I would recommend taking a small bottle in a bum bag. The horses must be used to not drinking for that time? Had a nice cool driink at the end at their bar and promptly returned to our hotel. A very efficient operation. At the end they offered paper photos they had taken from a phone but better to send this by WhatsApp I would say.

Booked a two hour ride online for my family, on arrival got greeted on the driveway by a rather cheeky cockatoo who demanded a scratch before walking back into the ranch, so the day started really well.

Walking around the ranch you come upon various pens and runs holding a variety of animals from an ostrich, shetland ponies to the cutest guinea pigs with young.

Then the fun really starts, a brief introduction from the wranglers then you are split into groups depending on your riding experience, since i hadn't been o a horse for over thirty years i chose to go with the amateurs and just have a walking experience.

The two hour walk goes along wooded paths, sandy areas and along the river the only drawback being that it didn't include riding on the beach. However the path chosen gave some lovely views, the horses were never a bother and seemed to know what to expect from the riders and seemed well cared for and looked after.

Cant wait to come back next year after having some more experience so i can go with the faster group though

Disorganised. We were told to show up at anytime for a children’s ride. When we turned up we were told it would be a 2 hour wait due to a large group just starting. After an hours wait we were then told no riding would be possible. So we wasted 60 Euros on taxis and 3 hours for no riding. If they had said turn up at a certain time we would have done but this was obviously far too complicated and they would rather waste our time and money. Maybe book via a decent tour operator who can manage to organise them.

What an amazing excursion this was! One of the best I have been on. Greeted with English speaking gentleman who was friendly and a glass of sangria. Then went on the horses for our trek. I was helped on and off the horse and they were all well cared for from what I could see. After the trek which was beautiful we then had time to get a drink and chat with fellow couples and families on the visit. Next was the BBQ. The food was tasty but delivered a bit weirdly as you got a chicken shish, then a jacket potato after 5 mins, then the salad and a small steak arrived all not at the same time but still good. The pudding was horrible, a kind of yoghurt ice cream?!?
Jugs of sangria, bottles of wine and soft drinks were available freely on the tables too. After the meal the entertainment started. Singing then onto horse ‘tricks’. I made a point of checking if the horses were whipped and they were not - they tapped them with no force and again looked really well cared for. There was also flamenco, a fire act and dancing. At the end of the night you could join in with line dancing. I can’t fault this experience from start to finish - my only issue, the alcohol flowed to well and hubbie got very drunk! :)

We went on a 2 hour trek as a family with 2 kids ages 12 and 15. We all had a great time. The guides were very helpful and entertaining. We went towards the beach and on the sand but sadly not at the water. We would highly recommend. Great for all levels. We had 2 male guides I think their names were Ebrahim and Johnny both really good.

We booked the horse riding and BBQ show, this was after checking with our tour rep that the animals were well looked after and treated well. We enjoyed our evening and from everything we saw, no animals were mis treated or neglected in fact it’s just the opposite. The horse riding itself was really great and the people that work there are all lovely and really make the whole experience tons of fun for everyone. and the show was good at the end….I especially liked crazy fire man!! But sadly all the waiting around in between the riding and BBQ and then the singing and show is way too long.
And the only thing to do once you’ve seen all the animals is to sit and order drinks….it’s needs to be a lot better organised timing wise but I’m glad we did it and it was a really good, different night out.
