George was a great host, full of interesting stories and information about the island as we journeyed round. His boat El-Eftheria is beautiful and traditional, and we're so glad we went on it rather than on one of the plastic catamarans. He spent plenty of time in each spot and we were never in a hurry. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a sunset-in-the-lagoon cruise!

We contacted George about a semi-private sunset cruise and he was able to arrange a trip for us with another couple so we had the whole boat for the 4 of us (plus George, his first mate and his super cute dog), much nicer than some of the crowded catamarans we saw with the larger tour companies! The visit to the hot springs was definitely the highlight of our Santorini trip - we had the spot to ourselves and we could spend as much time as we wanted at the springs since there was no set schedule - we spent so long we almost missed the sunset! George prepared dinner whilst we were swimming, the food was delicious. Towels, inflatable tubes and transport to and from our hotel was provided. Would highly recommend Captain George if you are visiting Santorini!

Captain George delivers. He picked up a party of 8 in Oia and drove us to his boat. Everything we needed was provided. We ate and drank well, swam in two locations (Red Beach and Hot Springs), cruised beside dramatic cliffs and learned the geology from Captain George. The boat was very comfortable, getting off and on was easy. The first mate was so attentive that he would literally give you the shirt off his back! George provided floatation devices for those who were uncomfortable in the water, which was crystal clear. He guided us to wonderful sunset views. This six hour sail was the best way possible to spend a day. Trust Captain George.

If you want to skip the crowds of catamaran “sail boats” Captain George and his 1971 Greek wooden sail boat is the real deal. He picked us up at our hotel and brought us directly to the marina. From their we motored our to swim into the hot springs at the center of the caldera! It was truly amazing going into the warm sulfur waters that all the other guide boats avoided. George said they didn’t give anyone the real story because it would take them too long. Well we had a very long swim while George cooked a fresh lunch on the deck. We sailed back to the marina and he took us back to our hotel. Great experience and way more authentic learning about the boat, it’s history and all that George has to share. Highly recommended, clean bathroom on board for the ladies, great food!
