Just back from our 10th visit to Tenerife and diving with Neil at Amarilla Divers. I can not praise them enough for how professional they are. Yes some of the dive sites are a long walk and sometimes the wildlife is limited but these things can not be blamed on the dive centre it is just the nature of diving in Tenerife. We did 2 boat dives on our last day and saw lots of sting rays, we got to spend most of the dives with them as they followed us around, one of our best dives. Thank you again Neil, spot on as always. Hope to be back soon, but if you could put the heating on this time.

With so many positive reviews I was convinced Amarilla Divers would be a sure thing, unfortunately not. We had long walks to and from dive spots, with the fun of repeating the journey to change cylinders between dives. It became more endurance than enjoyment. All the dive sites we went to were below average in terms of what you could see, possibly because they seemed to only offer shore dives only. We saw more in 20 minutes of snorkelling off a kayak with another operator than in 4 hour long dives with Amarilla.

This company is a joke!!! I strongy recommend not to dive with them! I was doing AOWD with them and a lot of issues were not the way as they were supposed to be. 1. When I was e-mailing them and asking about the AOWD course I received the information that I can choose from variety of options (nitrox, night divind, etc.). However, when I arrive at the place it occured that I can only have the most basic ones (such as drift or peak performance buoyancy). 2. They promised me a course book (PADI materials) - I received none. 3. I had to wait more then 2 months after completing the course for them to register me for the purpose of issuing the certificate (BTW: it was not the problem of PADI, but Amarilla Divers, because just after 2 weeks after registering I received a card). 4. I bought an extra insurance from them. They said it is already on my @. I did not check it and made the dive. It occured that there is no insurance in my inbox. I protested, so they finally issued me an insurance, but with spelling mistakes;) It means that my insurance was not valid and I paid for that;) 5. Some of my dives were supervised by a person who was not a PADI instructor;) After the course they asked me to put a different name of my diving buddy in dive log... Can you belive it?;) Additionally, there is nothing interesting (except from a wreck) in the location of this dive center. For these reasons pls beware of Amarilla Divers. P.S. There is however one advantage of Amarilla Divers. The instructor named Shaun is really nice and he seems to know what he is doing. He is th only reasonable person in this circus...

Had a great time with Neil getting my Open Water License. There are a couple of fun dive sites in the neighborhood. Also, the weather in November was really great, which made for some pretty decent visibility.

Great experience we had discovering scuba diving for the first time. Neil and Tom are great instructors. They were with us the entire time, step by step tought us what to do, and at the same time showing us the marine life. It was a really great experience that I would recommend to all my friends.
