Beautifull beach with nice beachbars to relax.
Calm and child friendly, clear water, nice sand.
A beach worthy the Hellenic reputation!

I think this beach is the only one with sand, real sand.
It is a long beach, with umbrellas and sun beds.
Water is apropriate for small children also, It is deep far away.... about 30 metters...
I like best this beach!
Enjoy your holiday!

Very nice beach in Ammoudia. Free sunbeds, but you have to pay for something to drink. The water quality is excellent, but there are a little much driftwood in the sand. Friendly people working at the beach.

Good place to swim and also to see the caves in the sea. A must to go to explore the lake that is meeting the sea in a point.

I have never seen in my life a beach like this one.
It is locate within a deep sandy bay.
The beach is very long and it has trees behind the beach, where you can park your car in a shade, what is great. The sand is very fine, the water is clean and warm and the sunbeds are everywhere alongside the water, but what makes this beach so extraordinary is the length of the shallow water part, I think that it goes shallow for more then 100 yards.
It is ideal for families with small children, for older people or anyone else who likes spending effortless long hours in a water. Here you can enjoy long walks through the water.
By the beach is a confluence of Acheron river, so all together, this is one unique place, so small and quiet, that you have a feeling that time stopped.
However, for some reason, the village also feels a bit neglected, there are broken street light poles on the beach parking, lack of trash cans, and obvious lack of maintenance on number of public property (lot of trash floating around).
I am really curious to find out why is this village so poorly maintained, as I liked it a loot and would love to see ti with a bit more TLC.
We actually stayed in Parga, but made 2 day trips to Ammoudia. I learned that accommodation in Ammoudia is much affordable then in Parga, and if the level of cleanliness and maintenance of the settlement would improve, we would gladly come to Ammoudia for summer holidays.

This beach is perfect for families with small kids. The water is shallow and they have sunbeds, showers and umbrellas.

Stayed in parga which is about 20min from ammoudia... This beach is clear with nice water and you can get a sunbed and umbrella for about 5euros with coffee for two! The only downside is that it can get a bit windy even in august but still the sun is up high and the water is ideal! Also parking is free if you have a car!

Staying in Parga, and drove here to explore the region. About a 30 minute drive. Lovely soft sandy beach with a very gently shelving into the sea. You can walk out some 100 metres and still be standing up. Much loved by local Greek families, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas on offer. To the left hand side of the beach is the delta of the river Acheron. Boat trips are available if you wish. Also a good choice of reasonably priced tavernas where we enjoyed a great lunch away from the heat of the beach.

Ammoudia beach is a long sandy beach, good for children. The water is clean but does not have that great colour of blue:) There are tavernas nearby and also some water sports. You can find sunbeds and umbrellas or you can have your own space on the beach.
