We took the MS Orca from Svolvær for a 3 hour boat trip to Trollfjord, booked from the tourist centre. The scenery is better driving up the coast and back by car, to be honest. The boat trip started with fishing, which we were unprepared for, we thought it was wildlife appreciation tour, not killing it. The way they treated the fish they caught was diabolical. Then they took us to Trollfjord which was underwhelming, the walls aren't that high, there are ugly buildings there, there is litter and graffiti on the walls, the (drunk?) skipper made some lame jokes about viagra over the tanoy. They made fishsoup from the fish they'd caught, nobody seemed to like it, other than because it was from the animals just killed so a novelty. On the way back we saw three sea eagles, which was pretty cool, the only good bit of the trip to be fair. For the money, this is pretty rubbish... That said, loads of daft, old grey-haired Scandinavians onboard seemed to love it - taking photos of everything and anything with their crap ipads, laughing at the rubbish jokes. Very easily pleased. Embarrassing... Waste of time and money... Don't bother... Go for a hike, climb or drive instead...
