The night market in Lamai is something not to miss, with lots of different stalls selling everything from hand carved soaps to painted coconut shells, paintings and leather goods, it has an amazing atmosphere, food stalls with a great selection of thai dishes to tempt your tastebuds. A short distance from the market are the bars where you can watch young thai women pole dancing, I'll leave it to your imagination what's on sale there!!! Lots of old men from different countries sit and ogle the girls. Drinks are more expensive in these bars for obviously reasons. A fasinating experience if you haven't seen it before. Definitely something to see.

Very small market and we only heard about them because one of the stall owners at the Sunday night market told us about them. Just the usual market without the food. We found a man selling good quality watches and nothing else, we purchased a watch duty free and it needed a few links taken out, he was happy to do it for 50 baht.

we visited in december, it was very quiet. If you are in the area, i would recommend a visit to this market, otherwise i would not make a special trip. I found the prices very expensive, my suggestion is to half the asking price, and negotiate from there. There are also some shops lining each side of the market. At the far end, a restaurant, Jim Joom BBQ, run by a mature couple, very cold, cheap beer, and very very nice food.

Went here with a bunch of friends in the evening - there’s a strip of pop up shops selling items from candles to jewelry to clothing. Best to bargain when here and keep in mind they sell knock off on label brands. There are tons of restaurant choices and it can be overwhelming so either look up reviews or go with what looks good to you! Heard that this market is more limited than fisherman’s Village - which we plan to visit on a few days

If you are staying at Koh Samui for several days and you have an opportunity to choose either the Night market in Fisherman's Village or in Lamui, choose the first one. The food, supply and atmosphere in Lamui was so low compared to the much bigger, more intense and exciting Fisherman's Village, that it was a disappointment. Also we ate at least three or four different dishes here which all were a bit tasteless, to be honest.
