MANATHAI HOTEL on LAMAI BEACH KOH SAMUI
Feb 2020
After 2 nights in BANCOCK we took a short flight to KOH SAMUI staying at the MANATHAI HOTEL on LAMAI BEACH. we were staying bed and breakfast, what a selection of food!!!our room was spacious and comfortable with a four poster bed. Two swimming pools one in the hotel grounds the other across a busy road to the beach. The hotel provided crossing wardens to see guests across safely. Keep in mind NO ONE obeys rules of the road in THAILAND its every man for himself!!! A small beach with sunbeds and beanbags or if preferred an hammock. Beach staff came round with pineapple and melon and a 2for1 happy hours. All said a perfect holiday.

Lovely market

I really recommend visiting the street market, its great atmosphere with street performers. There is a road for the food market & then stalls for clothes, souvenirs etc.
A lovely little walk out on a sunday night

Small but very interesting market
Dec 2019
Well worth a quick tour - very interesting little market - set back from the main road. It has about 60-80 stalls selling fresh produce and Thai meals. Wonderful colours and local characters. Lots of locals buying lunch or fresh broth or pastes to take home and cook their own meals

True Thai food market
Oct 2019
Interesting insight into Thai cuisine - not a single part of any animal is wasted - whilst not keen on eating food without refrigeration, it was still worthy of a visit to understand Thai culture.
Be respectful and ask if you may take photos of their food.

This Market was cheaper than Koh san road and chiang mai
Oct 2019
Brilliant little market with all the stuff you get in other places, but seems a bit cheaper! perhaps it was the fact it was low season which bought the prices right down, but I wish I would have known and bought more stuff to bring home!!

Good atmosphere
Apr 2019 • Couples
Sunday nights are great, cheap cocktails, and live music. Loads of shopping but its the same stall owners that go and sell at fisherman's village. We still did a load of shopping. Loads of street food, smelt good but we didn't try any. Heaps of pancake stalls and ice cream stalls, they were both delicious.

This must be like living in paradise

Amazing stretch of beach, safe to swim with plenty of activities to keep you occupied or hire a sun chair from one of the many accommodation places and laze the day away.

Mr Jack sells cooked corn on the cob and fresh fruit and each item is only 60 Baht.

We have stayed on Koh Samui many times however from now on we will be only staying on Lamai Beach.

Big Fish in Lamai Market
Feb 2019 • Friends
Tucked away in the corner of the market is Big Fish - an amazing Thai cafe / restaurant the food is cooked to order so everything is very fresh. The food is cooked to your request so if you do not like spicy they will leave the spice out. Real authentic Thai food- very reasonably priced at under 100 bht a dish.
