My wife and I got the recommendation from a waiter to check out this beach at a specific mile marker (pm-820 10.5). We traveled by scooter and enjoyed the little adventure we took to find this spot. Once we got there it was pretty incredible and a nice change of pace from some of the other more main stream beaches. We parked our scooter at the small parking lot at the end of the side road. There were far less people here and found that most were topless or completely naked. This stretch of waterfront is made up of rock formations that have small sandy coves periodically. We found a spot in one of these coves and joined the handful of others by stripping off our swimsuits. The rocks block the wind so it did get pretty warm, but that was easily resolved by a quick dip in the water. I’d recommend this beach if you want to venture to a more secluded beach.

Mitjorn is characterized by many coves, more or less small. The sea is beautiful, compared to Illetes the beach is shorter and the water becomes shallower sooner. Rich in chiringuitos who have made the history of Formentera, at least so far, let's see from this year how it will change in this sense

Beautiful beach and much quieter than some of the others on the island. It is a really long stretch of beach so great for a walk. There is a wooden boardwalk that stretches along the beach so walking is easy. There are a few nice bars/restaurants dotted along there too! You will also find a fair few nudists here - there is a definite anything goes feel.
Only down side is the sea is quite rocky and lots of seaweed.

We stayed at a hotel on this beach. We were located about in the middle.

Facing the water, to the right it was narrower and more rocky. It was also less dense with beachgoers.

To the left I was wider, with better sand and fewer rocks, but it also had more people.

There is a walkway that runs the length of the beach. Some of it is sand and some of it is raised planks. This makes it very accessible.

There are bars and restaurants scattered along its length and they are accessible from the walkway.

Platja de Migjorn is an absolute gem! The long stretch of golden sand, clear turquoise waters, and peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of Formentera. It's never too crowded (in September), and the waves are ideal for swimming or just enjoying the serenity. There are also a few great beach bars nearby for a refreshing drink or snack. Whether you're looking to unwind or take a stroll along the shore, Platja de Migjorn is a slice of paradise!

No set nudist areas, you just do as you please! Lots of nude people about though. Good for a skinny dip!

We have been going regularly to stay overlooking playa de Migjorn for the last 12 years and as the longest stretch of beach on the island, the views are fantastic, even when the weather decides to be a bit iffy. There are plenty of sandy areas to lay in the sun and swim and also, along its length, quite a few restaurant/bars,our favourite being,La Fragata, very friendly familly type restaurant, very good value.

Not many shops but take things with you. It gets busy. Loved the clothes optional bathing, first time we had done it and no one looked, it felt so free. Loved it and want to go back, but touring Europe so moving on.

I loved staying in accommodation close to Migjorn beach. Although it's long, it is by no means a continuous strip of sand - rather there are distinct areas each with their own character. However, what they share is the beautiful white sand, shelving gently into crystal-clear water.
On our first full day on Formentera, it had been stormy the previous day and the sea was somewhat rough and weedy - however, the following day we had a beautiful view across a flat blue sea and clear water.
Formentera's beaches are known for their relaxed approach to nakedness, and on the part of the beach where we were staying (VogaMari), the majority of people were nude, many nationalities relaxing comfortably. There was even an amusing bit of international cooperation when a gust of wind sent several umbrellas spiralling down the beach, and several people, including yours-truly, caught them then had to try to return them to their rightful owners.
It was lovely there - but please don't tell too many people, we don't want it to get crowded!
