Surprising

Well managed, gives you a full picture of traditional life in a very pleasant setting. With a little more dust polishing would be perfect.

We went here on an afternoon and yeah I guess you can say we found out a few interesting things about the djerban culture, but it was quite dry and really nothing special. The heritage museum at Djerba explore has way more to offer!

This small museum is worth a visit if you happen to visit Houmt Souk. It gives you a good idea about traditions and costumes of this small multi-ethnical island with a very rich island from the Berbers, to the Phenicians, Romans, Bizantians, Vandals, Arabs, Ottomans, Frenchs.

Loved seeing the large crocs and the turtles. There was an area that had smaller crocodiles and we saw them being fed but unfortunately had to leave before the big ones were fed.

Very surprised how much work had been put into this museum and the costumes on the dummies through the ages were fantastic. Plenty of space to view each window and photography allowed. Delightful visit and would definitely return.

The captions are in English as well as French and Arabic. They have done a very good job with the explanations. it is great to be able to provide support for such an initiative.
