31. 8. 2020 It's nonsense to compare this place to karst caves. It is a small rock church in a smaller cave. A nice place full of quiet and pleasant corners. I recommend. More youtube travel video PSIS-visit. Iva + Petr Prague CZ.

Away from the tourist spots near the beaches this little cave was a nice find. There’s a small entry fee (€1) but it’s worth it to look round the cave. The views looking down from the balcony are excellent.

Visited on a sunny day in December just for somewhere to have lunch outdoors, what a treat the little picnic area was, clean, tidy and with a fantastic view. Cannot comment for the summer but if you are here in the winter and it’s sunny definitely a must just to take in the quiet and relax

The view from the terrace outside the cave is wonderful. The cave is impressive and has atmosphere, and is obviously revered by the worshippers who go there. However, access to the cave itself is very uneven and not advisable for anyone with mobility issues. We were given the option of avoiding a steep, narrow passage with very low ceiling, but if you take it, you get to see two tiny chapels. The group we were with was too large to allow everyone to hear the guide, so we missed most of the information, and there was little or no written information available. We Googled it on our return!

Took a walk here from the Avra Hotel in Kolymbari. It's a nice stroll through the olive and lemon groves up to the cave and so worth it for the amazing views. It was nice to get off the beaten track a little and worth the effort on a hot day.

The walk from Kolymbari center was more like 3,75 km each way. Half the way on semi busy road with not so good pavements. After that it was slight climb up through an olive garden and a small village. The best part is the view when you reach the top and to see the cave.

A hidden jem with great views of Crete. Even better views if you walk a few hundred yards above the car park .I would visit on a clear day.
