The Cave of Saint John the Hermit is located in the village of Marathoskefala, Kissa close to Kolymvari. The Cave is bright and majestic, ancient and imposing with rare panorama view of the plain of Kolymvari. Furthermore, it has a capacity of 3.000-4,000 people

A hidden jem with great views of Crete. Even better views if you walk a few hundred yards above the car park .I would visit on a clear day.

Stumbled upon this and what a nice little gem. Don’t forget to look out for the tiny beach under the subway.

A very nice place to visit. Far away from the mass tourism you will find a very quiet and nice spot. You'll have a very nice view also. It will cost you 1€ per person but worth it.

Away from the tourist spots near the beaches this little cave was a nice find. There’s a small entry fee (€1) but it’s worth it to look round the cave. The views looking down from the balcony are excellent.
