I wouldnt travel here just for this as not much to do and little information...o n arrival at gate it states its closed and no entry prob as being worked on...but gates were open so went inside. Just some remains if a few walls. Nice...More

Likithos Castle - Ancient Toroni. Parts of the ancient city Toroni including its port facility sunk under the sea surface and can be seen by diving.

You cannot get close to the castle. There is some kind of ramp which prevents you from entering. Maybe they want to save it from reckless tourists

On the end of the village is small ruin of the castle, but nothing worth to see, do not loose time especially in Greece where you may find hundreds of great attractions.

At night it is visible because of lights, but it is closed for "renovation", and offers no interesting views, no picture opportunities... so a waist of time planning especially for it

It seems that restoration is to be made. In any case, at this moment, definitely not worth the detour.

On going consolidation works means no access to the castle although we did sneak in! Only a few walls left but impressive none the less, worth a revisit when works complete.

Castle Likithos is nowadays in ruins and entry is prohibited but some restoration works are carried out, so maybe in future it can be open to visitors. There's a simple information plate and the castle grounds are fenced, but the remainings of the walls are...More
