A FIVE STAR HOLIDAY
I holiday in Crete virtually every year and have always preferred to travel independently rather than book an all inclusive break.
But this year as a surprise my partner booked an all inclusive break to the Radisson Blu Milatos in Crete.
I didn’t realise what I had missed out on. Everything was superb from the beautiful designer white room to the wide range of cuisine on offer. I really enjoy Greek cuisine and there was a good choice of local produce on offer. My partner loved the Asian cuisine though. Also I discovered on my last night that there is a 2 star Michelin chef in the hotel which accounted for the fabulous selection of delicious and colourful foods on offer. Drinks were all inclusive and there was a great range to choose from. We really enjoyed the Greek dancing and live music and it was great for once to enjoy drinks by the pool and wander straight back to the room and fall straight into bed.
While we were at the hotel there was a large party of Russians who were partying late into the night but the Resort is so big it wasn’t a problem to us especially as they invited us along with other guests to join them for a glass or two of champagne ! And in the day there is a tranquillity pool so you can relax in peace and quiet.
All the staff were really pleasant from the house maid to the restaurant manager and everyone tried to make our holiday really special. Check in was stressful because our plane was delayed but we were served a glass of chilled wine on the terrace which got us off to a good start.
The hotel gardens are really spectacular. Sunsets are amazing and we bought some beautiful photos taken by the photographers based at the hotel. The hotel had a shopping arcade and I bought a few souvenirs to take home and my partner really enjoyed his Spa treatment.
I will never give up my independent travel but I will definitely return here when I need to chill and enjoy a little bit of luxury.

Lovely beach (not the best one you can find in Crete) where you can relax and enjoy some wondeful time with your loved ones.

Lovley quiet beach and great for small children as it is surrounded by the sea wall. Slightly stony in places but mainly sand

Almost untouched by full on tourism but with enough going on to keep us coming back four times in the last three years. Great Scenery,welcoming lovely people, not full of teenage idiots,reasonable prices. to sum up a true Kriti welcome awaits the lovers of this wonderful island

Very small but lovely beach, can get very busy at times. OK for a swim but need beach shoes, nice for a dip but would not go there for the whole day.

The Happy Train from Sissi took us to Milatos Beach for a lunch stop. In October Milatos Beach was very quiet, but a few seafront restaurants were still open. We had a delicious lunch overlooking the water before returning to Sissi. This area isn’t as commercialised as other parts of the region.

If you are looking for noise, a lot of people, cars, and bars, then forget it. Don't go there. I will return definitely.

Nice and quiet place. Very good for families with small children. Friendly people, nice food and comfortable stay. The town is small so everything is nearby and can be easily accessed.

Bonjour,
La plus proche est celle de Sisi (une demi heure de marche environ) mais il y en a un peu partout en allant vers Héraklion, quand elles ne sont pas considérées comme privées par les hôtels.
Le guide du routard donne de bonnes indications sur de belles plages un peu partout.

They have a village shop, although small it sells a great selection of things (greek Ackrights) from locally produced cheese & wine to clothes pegs .the nearest pharmacy is in near by Malia 15min drive

vorrei sapere se il percorso da heraklion a milatos è complicato, cioè montagnoso. è facilmente raggiungibile???

Hi, there are surely some taxis around Milatos. If you wish to rent a taxi per hour, you could check Executive Travel Services from Sissi just right the next village.
