My wife and I initially picked this walk for the waterfall. But by far the highlight was scrambling up the stream using the chains and footholds. I completely agree with the previous reviewer who felt that this would not be allowed in the UK and what could have been an average Sunday stroll turned in to an adventure. The walk itself is not too taxing and if you can't park in Gaina there will probably be parking in Foina. Just follow the pink and white markers and you won't go far wrong.…

parked outside Gaina and started our walk from there (a few free parking places). It was an enjoyable clamber up the ravine with ladders and chain ropes to help us up the difficult parts. This activity would not be allowed in the UK due to health and safety rules, its a refreshing change to be responsible for you our safety for once. If any climb/ scramble is to much there are other paths around the obstacles. No guides, just you verses nature, the worst that could happen is you get wet and look a fool! There is a path that takes you back to Gaina so you can enjoy a circular walk, also a café in Gaina to calm your nerves with a stiff drink or quench you thirst as we did.…
