Abbey is high in the mountains, road to it its good and in less than one hour you can be on quiet and nice place above Tuscany valley. In the summer there are picnics there, concerts and people getting away from the summer hot weather....More

Slightly difficult to reach through beautiful forest roads so a very quiet and peaceful abbey to visit. The chapel, abbey and gardens really merit the trip. Interesting herb based products made at the abbey in a very traditional shop.

We really enjoyed our visit to Vallombrosa and we would recommend you to visit. When you visit, take a picknick blancket and food and drinks with you. They is a huge valley where you will find locals having a barbeque and enjoying their free afternoons....More
