The walking trail was pretty manageable considering we did not venture further pass the bridge. We just admired the waterfall from its foot. If you would want the full experience, I heard from the people climbing down from the hike that it can be a little steep and challenging? So if you are up for a hike, maybe this could be your go-to! Just remember to wear firm-gripping shoes! If you have some time to spare, I do recommend you just heading to the bridge. It was pretty refreshingly serene! We saw it on our last day as we were passing by. By then we already saw all the major and huge waterfalls so did not stop here. Also there is a short hike till the waterfall. We were already too tired. But it is a nice spot if you begin your tour from this part of Iceland.

Otherwise you can see the falls well from the bottom. A good little stop on a Snaefellsnes road trip.…

We've seen a lot of waterfalls on our two trips to Iceland and Bjarnarfoss was one of our favourite. It is not as popular with tourists as some of the other waterfalls so you won't have to worry about big crowds. We traveled in March and we were the only people there. The small farmhouse at the base of the mountain in front of the waterfall makes for a very scenic view. The waterfall is located right off the main road so it's a must see if you are driving by. You can read more about our visit to Bjarnarfoss and other landmarks on the Snæfellsnes peninsula on our blog nomadsintraining.com…
