Went with friends and the hike was a little intense for the less experienced due to the high height of the snow. Amazing place!!

As some others have mentioned, even just hiking up to the crevice entrance is more challenging than it looks. Since it's just a steady incline with no breaks it can be tiring. You'll definitely want waterproof shoes to go beyond the entrance at all since...More

Hiked into this crack in the mountain during a light snow and enjoyed the magical flakes descending down into the narrow opening! Loved that we had it to ourselves!

The hike from the parking lot is more difficult than it looks (especially on a windy day!) but it's worth it to enter the canyon and explore the space. Plan to wear waterproof shoes or get your feet wet to climb all the way back...More

Really interesting canyon. Take waterproof shoes, as you need to walk on the stones within the small river. I have really enjoyed it.

The hike up if you are not fit is tough but take your time and ensure you have breaks. The view from the top over down to the beaches is magnificent on a clear day. The canyon itself is small and you can find better...More

Hike up from parking lot (you'll get used to that in Iceland) to the opening of the gorge. It was still snow covered with a lot of water flowing. We ventured in for a bit further but then decided we'd gone far enough. Still glad...More

This is a must stop if you are passing by! Make sure you have boots and can walk a bit. Going into the cave is not for everyone but you can still enjoy the view when you walk up. Great photo spot and an interesting...More
