Lovely walk up to tye viewpoint of the dead or grey sand dunes. Small parking lot at bottom be sure to park in marked area there was someone there giving out tickets. Don't understand the 5euro entry after paying 30 to enter the park.

For me Cognitive trail in Nagliai nature reserve was the highlight of the Lithuanian trip. Place is beautiful. And best experience 2e can buy. I am fully aware this is due to heavy winds that where blowing while we were visiting. It felt like middle of Sahara, we saw dunes moving and forming, it was just fabulous.

The dunes are one of the things you see here. It’s a pleasant walk to the top with a wonderful view of the surrounding dunes and the lagoon. Do stay on the walkways as the dunes are very fragile and suffer from people going off the trails.

Grey or dead dunes europes largest moving dynes. Free parking at roadside parking place (about 15cars),located at Nagliai nature reserve park, near Pervalka. Walking path is 1,1km oneway, start is easy, and second part has woode pavement, last part is just sand, lot of up and downs, not suitable for people with disabilities or strollers. Take some water with you, It is only allowed walk at marked path. Price was 2€/adult (7/18). Views are better than Nida dunes. Closing time was 19.00.
