The beach here goes on for miles. It is very clean and unspoiled with only the occasional cafe and toilets. Would definitely recommend.

Great beach! Not crowded at least during the beginning of October. Still wan enough to get a tan but not a heat stroke. You can rent the beds and umbrella. Plus get drinks from the bar and relax on the beach and enjoy a cold...More

I loved Salgados beach, our hotel was close so not too far to walk but it was not too busy, the sea was amazing, great waves so a bit choppy for my 7 year old but my 10 year old loved it! Highly recommend

This is a lovely beach which is clean and not crowded, used mainly by local Portugese. Backed by a natural reserve with lots of birds it is a pleasure to visit in the morning for a walk. Highly recommend

i stayed in October and the area was extremely quiet. no shops just 2 supermarkets . several cafe/ restaurants. we walked to armecoa de pera along beach , took over an hour Doubt u could walk into Albufeira itself... More

We tend to visit first thing in the morning or when the sun is setting, we have seen many types of birds including flamingos and Storks
