About Meet Piemonte
Meet Piemonte is a boutique tour operator that crafts personalized tours in the Piedmont region of Italy and in other nearby areas of interest such as Lake Como, Portofino, Cinque Terre and Milan. We proud ourselves to be focused on one single Italian region rather than on the entire Country: we invest all our energies to seek out the best and most unique experiences in a part of Italy with so much diversity and contrasts. On these pages, we offer a small selection of day trips and half-day tours, mostly private or limited to small groups. We encourage you to contact us for a customized itinerary.

Big shout out to Marco for being so knowledgable and informative. A great morning of walking in the woodland with Gianni and his dog Mac. Mac managed to sniff out three truffles that we were kindly given. Gianni was very happy to pass on his knowledge that has been passed throughout his family for generations. The black truffles went very well into a cheese fondu. We could had sat at the cellar all day during the wine tasting! Hope to be back in Alba again to test out Marcos food tour.

This is a review of "Truffle hunt and Barolo wine tasting", which is organized by the same tour conductor Meet Piemonte instead of "Barolo and Barbaresco wine tour", because of less tourists on that day. The tour coordinator Marco well organized the tour. Thank you Marco! Truffle hunt was amazing. a truffle hunter Giovanni and his hunter dog Max found some black truffles in a forest. It was a tougher work than I expected. The collaboration between an experienced human and a trained dog enables to find truffles. Wine tasting at a winery in Barolo area was also stunning. The vineyard of the winery was beautiful. We tasted 4 red wines: Dolcetto d'Alba, Barbera d'Asti, and two Barolos. All of them were really nice. Totally I had a really calm and precious time thought the tour.

Marco and the team at Meet Piedmonte helped us with our stay in the region and couldnt do enough to help. They organised for a local to chef to cook a fabulous meal for us at the villa, they arranged for a Pilates teacher to come and give our group a lesson and they even helped us book an appointment at a local vet. Above and beyond - a fantastic service!!!

I am writing a novel based on the life of my grandfather, who came from Asti, in Piemonte. One of the settings in the book will be the Citadel of Alessandria during WW1. Marco and Alessandra put together a custom tour of the facility and returning us to Turin to catch our train to Paris. I had been looking for two months to find someone knowledgeable about Alessandria who could accommodate us. After contacting Marco at Meet Piemonte, our problems were solved. They run a customer-centered operation. Unfortunately, the Pandemic forced us to cancel our trip to Europe, but we look forward to resuming our relationship with Meet Piemonte next year if all goes well. They know the region and make every effort to understand their customers' needs.

Dear Bob, thank you for taking the time and write such wonderful review which we hope can inspire future customers. Alessandria is not the most popular destination in Piedmont and we were thrilled to have someone interested in visiting the town center which is rich in history. Nonetheless, we are more and more committed to help many Americans who have Italian roots and they are looking for a trip to the village where their ancestors came from. We can't wait for this pandemic to be over and to welcome you in Piedmont. Thank you. Marco Scaglione
