Hi, the place is perfectly safe. We were wondering arround the area till very late in the night and had no problem. We did see one drunk local man, tumbling by the road and that was all. We spent one whole morning at the open market in Victoria and that was really great experience. I strongly recommend.

In August Beau Vallon is better suited to the wind direction but we did go snorkelling at Anse Royale in June and it was ok though very shallow inside the reef. If there is rain, which can happen occasionally in August, then jellyfish stinging can occur afterwards for awhile at BV, otherwise the water is lovely and warm (around 27 degrees C) and the swimming wonderful. The best snorkelling in the BV area is at Glacis at the beach alongside the Sunset Beach Hotel where we stayed. They feed fish from the bar over the reef so they tend to crowd around there, though the sea surge can be strong so you need to be a good swimmer. I would also recommend taking your own gear. Have a great trip!

Hello! We were planning for our honeymoon in Seychelles in September this year and wanted your suggestions/help in our itinerary. Me and my wife are adventure lovers, so would love to cover snorkeling, scuba, Trekking (La digue / Vallee De Mai) and spend some time with the tortoise on the islands. We will be landing early morning in Mahe, so I roughly put the following itinerary. Please read through and let me know your suggestions. Day 1 – Mahe - We plan to stay near the Beau...More
