I'm not really a beach lover but would defiantly recommend this one. Been coming to this area and tried quite a few of its beaches and this is by far the best for snorkelling. Water is always clean, clear and I've never encountered a problem with litter here. There's ample parking but I'd recommend arriving early in the peak season - late July / August. Prices haven't changed for years - 5 euro to park all day, 15 euro for 3 sun loungers and 10 euro to hire a peddlo-boat. Would recommend beach shoes as the sand tends to be coarse. These are readily available at most places nearby.

For people like us which is interested in snorkeling this is the best beach in the area. The rock on the left hand side is perfect and can keep you occupied for hours. It was quite a lot of fish as well. There's another cliff another 500 m to the left (you need to swim or have a boat) which we will visit next time. Saw that the locals went there with harpoons.

This beach is located a short distance from Tropea (8-10 min by car) and is an excellent choice - in full season the beaches from Tropea are very crowded. The water has a wonderful colour, and the rocks in the water give a special charm.

We arrived at what could be a stunning Beach, but were confronted by litter everywhere, including empty glass bottles and yet more rubbish on the steps down to the Beach.
We squinted our eyes and tried to ignore the litter everywhere and were rewarded with a used Condom on the sand by the Volley Ball net. Nice.
I know Southern Italy well and have been coming here for quite a while, so I have learnt (sort of) to accept the relentless litter on the roads, but this was vile and whoever is supposed to be in charge of this filthy place should be ashamed.
Italians, where is your pride in your beautiful Country.
My advice, don't go go to this filthy Beach or its tired Old Well Hotel. They will never improve unless people vote with their feet.
A tragic waste of a beautiful location.

Crystal clean turquoise water, and white sand. It is a not so remote but quite a steep slope to ascend and descend, and therefore it is better to go by car (lot of parking space). But that makes it cleaner than beaches next to cities and well worth the effort. Nice bars on the beach and space equally divided between free beach and hotel beaches with umbrellas and sunbeds.

Amazing beach about four kilometres from Tropea really worth visiting. I swam here three times on my last holiday day and would definitely visit again. The beach is clean and the setting beautiful. Loved it. Highly recommended.

This beach was the best we found around Tropea and there are a few. The Old Well bar on the beach is great - lovely panini - and has some interesting accommodation attached. It could get very crowded in summer and the road has partly collapsed so it is single track and more precipitous than usual but it has fantastic sand and deserves its popularity.

An absolute must for visitors to this area. This bay is wonderful and the water is very safe for bathing. There are also a number of bars and restaurants to keep the thirst at bay. Brilliant experience for the beach lover.

This beach is gorgeous! It has lots of pebbles so bring water shoes. But it is very worth visiting!!
There are grottoes that you can swim through and climb. Rather than just laying on the beach there is a lot for people to explore. Italians will jump off the sides of the grottoes in to the water. The water is gorgeous, every shade of blue and turquoise. I felt like I was in a movie the whole time.
The bar is on the beach and gives a spectacular view of the scenery. There are cold beers, energy drinks, espressos, different types of foods. The owner of it is very nice, used to be a professor, keeps the facilities very clean.

Travelling by train and car was a good idea. Than a daily trip to the beach is a slice of cake. The sea is blue, the sand is white but the rocks are near.

Organizzazione Covid ? Nessuna ! In spiaggia libera come sardine.
