This is one of those can’t miss places. It is a wonderful place to go to learn about how the wool industry works in Iceland and buy beautiful items made at the factory. Check out their web site.

Great place to shop, learn about wool used, see factory workers making goods, informative staff and workers. Free samples of left overs for the crafters and the best place to buy your sweaters, toques, mitts, etc.

They were very friendly , and very open about showing the actual wool factory. They have bathrooms too, so a good stop from a long drive. They have wool remnants for sale - a great price if you're crafty. As in all Iceland, it is...More

We stopped here because a guide at an other site, 100 km away, suggested we do so. You were allowed to go into the factory to see them work but we arrived mid day and either no one was working or everyone was at lunch....More

We stopped at the Woolfactory to buy a hand knitted sweater as a present to take home. Though the prices were not actually better than elsewhere, the tax-free receipt to be claimed at the airport may turn out to be a discount afterall. We were...More
