What an amazing experience we had ! Beautiful landscape and amazing staff ! They were really taking care of us and really wanted us to feel good on our horses. They payed attention to my friend who was a beginner and selected the horses depending on our level. They made us try the horse in the inner stable first and then we went outside.

It was an amazing experience! The environment was fabulous and unicum! We ride through (deeply) water, along the floated river, up in the mountain, surrounded by glaciers.The guide was great and most of all he treated his Horses with lots of respect. So if you are planning to ride the icelander horse in Iceland and you prefer small groups, choose for Tvistur Horse riding!

Excellent horseback riding tour! Views were beautiful. Horses were wonderful and well taken care of. Owners were super nice. We got to do a couple different gaits with the horses. Really enjoyed our tour. We actually did 2 horseback riding tours while in Iceland and this one was much better than the other! Wouldn't hesitate to go on another tour with Tvistur. It is less than an hour from Akeyuri so convenient stop on the ring road. Good value and not too expensive for 2 hour tour (we actually stayed out 2.5 hrs and got to brush/groom the horses before/after the ride!) We went up into the mountains and then down by the river. I really enjoyed the river part!
