Children would love the statues of elephants, monkeys and other wild animals to be found amongst the rocks and greenery. At the entrance there is lots of replicas of local buildings and a large pavilion filled with the most amazing carved furniture. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting this stream and were very lucky to visit before any tourist buses arrived so had the swimming holes to ourselves.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 31, 2023

There is an absolutely gorgeous park at the entrance to reach the waterfall. After quite a long walk up, it is pleasing to take a swim in cool water under the waterfall. The waterfall is just low and small, not amazing to expect. * Love walking in the nature - it's yours. The whole complex is more like a children's amusement park. It has nothing to do with enjoying nature. A laughable waterfall at the end of the path. Until then, plastic animal sculptures. Large groups of people along the river who leave their plastic stuff lying around everywhere and set up large speakers with which they sing karaoke, which makes noise in the valley.

The stream and water is beautiful, but over shadowed by how the local vietnamese treat such a national treasure. On two occasions as we hiked up to the falls we witnessed two big groups of people eating and drinking by the stream, then blatantly just get up and leave without picking up there trash, even though there was a bin a few meters away. We made comments but were rebutted with fowl language and threats. This mentality inferiorities me to the core.

The stream is very good you walk up to 1.5 KM along the stream. Entry Fee is 10.000 VND per Adult and 5.000VND per child. If you bring beer and food you can enjoy the food and drinks at the top of the river. you can also swim in the river. it is a very nice place for spending half a day. The only disadvantage of this place is that here always have a big crowd of local people. There will be no water in the summer season.

The sightseeing around the stream is nice but there is no water when we came. Entrance ticket is cheap. You need to bring moquito cream with you, a lot of moquito.

Admittedly there was no water running because it is the dry season, but, this place is just really weird. An array of sculptured animals throughout the park, along with a large amount of tables and chairs sculpted out of big tree stumps, is not my idea of a tourist attraction. It is a precarious walk up to the waterfall, the paths are made of stones and are very uneven. I would only visit if you just have nothing else to do (or wait for the rainy season to see the waterfall).

Sunday morning 20th January and we picked up a taxi from outside our hotel, Novotel, we were going to see the Suối Tranh Waterfall and gardens.
It was a smooth journey to the waterfall (reviewed seperately), which took less than 20 minutes, we were dropped off by the ticket office. The entrance fee was 10,000 VND (less than half of 1 US dollar).
The pathway starts as a gentle cobbled walkway but then becomes an uneven rocky path through trees. It took us about 20 minutes, without stopping, to reach the top of the waterfall.
At the top some people braved the cold water and went swimming in the rock pool.
Along the route of the flowing water there were areas with large boulders, either in or by the water, that people were using a picnic sites.
Also along the way up to the top of the waterfall, there are statues of a variety of animals and humans.
There is a small garden area near the entrance, with colourful bushes and trees, there is a shop and a restaurant.
This is definitely not a mighty gushing waterfall, in fact it is rather small. We did enjoy our visit here and the walk up to the top, something else to see on Phu Quoc.
The cost of the one way journey was 170,000 VND (approximately $7.5 US). We used Mai Linh taxi (reviewed seperately) but returned with Nam Thang taxi, around the same price.
Would recommend wearing sturdy footwear as ground and pathway uneven and wet in places.
