A really Nice beach where you can find the spot for your preferences. A lot of restaurants serving all kinds of food and drinks. Very easy access and staff everywhere is very Good at service.
The Beach is kept tidy and in order. You can always find a sunbed if you like. If you are not staying at resorts right on the Beach you pay 5 euro for a day, often incl
a drink , otherwise it's Free.

This is a very long beach along the western part of Phu Quoc, somewhere in the middle. You find hotels, restaurants, resorts, bars and quite a few tourists along the stretch. Quite a fair bit of debris along the beach. Would be more attractive if cleaner.

This beach was the nearest to our hotel so we went there a few times and it was nice to have a variety of activities available for hire at the beach. There are plenty of bars to hire sun beds and buy food and drinks from, some even have western live music. There were also massage and waxing treatments (😱) available at the beach not to mention all the water sports.
No waves in December but the weather was lovely and hot and dry.

Unfortunately Phu Quoc on the whole was a disappointment. If you travelled in Asia you will know what I am talking about . Basically a second Sinnoukville on the make . Tones of construction everywhere and any decent beach such as this one has been privatised by hotels / resorts . Yes you can acess the beach through the resort and buy overpriced food and drinks.
Long beach has a few decent meters in front of the resort but either sides are dirty with either construction rubbish or dirty from the sea .
Overall a real shame for the island as the local people are very nice and honest !

Hotel, massage, restaurant/ bar, fruit and corn sellers.........then repeat over and over. Nice yellow sand beach with quite dirty water with lots of plastic items in it. Sunsets from this beach are superb. As previously stated much better beaches available elsewhere on island.

Nice beach. Golden sands (that get very hot) and a decent width. Nice change from white sand on the other side of the island. However we spent a few days here and a few days on the white sand beach and the mix was perfect.

Long Beach as the name says stretches for miles. Dotted with resorts but does not feel crowded or hustled. Great place to walk look at gorgeous sunset stop for a beer and of course swim in the ocean.

We spent over a week on Phu Quoc, west side beach and were quite relieved to leave the island. We also made some snorkeling trips to south and north islands and just everywhere the same: garbage. The Vietnamese people haven't learned yet to dispose any thing in the right way, they just bung every thing around, most of the time in the water. Sow a couple of times locals defecate in to the water or on the street. Do you want to take a swim after this experience? Accordingly is the clarity of the water. Accordingly we got 2 times in the week some heavy stomach problems. Accordingly you do not have any trust in the
hygienically situation in any restaurants. We ate at the expensive Pepper Tree Restaurant (La Veranda Resort), it didn't helped, my partner was sick laying in the bed for 4 days. Conclusion: for every one loving Asia, Vietnam has to learn a lot! Some Health Care and Animal Protect organization has to be urgently alerted! After all my travel experience around the world it has been the most shocking one regarding the hygienical situation and absolutely brainless pollution of environment.

It pains me to say this, as the beach has so much to offer with its long coast and warm waters. I decided to take a walk along the coast and within 5 minutes I almost walked on 2 syringes that had washed up. I had to look down the entire time after that and decided to go back to my hotel and pay to go to Sao beach. I would never swim in this beach. Please be careful.

Anyone who rates this beach must never have been to a beach before. Me and my girlfriend were looking forward to a day on this beach and we were left really disappointed . Rubbish everywhere hardly anywhere to sit. It's definitely the worst beach I have ever been to and I've been to Blackpool... don't let this beach put you off phu quoc island though as it is beautiful. Such a shame because it has potential if only someone would look after it .

Hallo Mirijud,

does anyone know if any places rent sunbeds for the day?
Thanks

Yep... they all do it for an average of 200 Vietnamese per person... very price indeed!!! However, if you consume anything from the bar/restaurant, you can have free sunbeds at Jojo Beach Bar (Next door to Rory's Bar)!!! I hope this helps!!!
