Rainbow Divers are the longest established PADI Divecentre on Phu Quoc and throughout Vietnam. Jeremy Stein pioneered diving on the Island and is the General Manager of a truly International team of Divemasters + Instructors. Daily diveboats depart to the North + South and PADI Training courses start everyday, including 3-6 month residential Divemaster + Instructor Courses. November - February are extremely busy times on the Island so early booking confirmations are essential. If you're wanting to take a PADI Course on PQ, please complete the theory online before arriving. Check the elearning information on our website. Closed from 30th March - 31st September.

I had a really nice experience doing the discover scuba dive with rainbow. The instructors - Matilda and Pedro were so welcoming right from the start. Pedro took a special effort to make me feel at ease from the time i jumped in, to teaching me to dive so very close to the corals (which were beautiful).
I'd recommend them for any level of diving experience you want to gain as a couple of friends did the fun dives and had a great time too !

I just completed my PADI Open Water Diving Course with Rainbow Divers Phu Quoc Island. Not only was it a great location to complete my dive certification but the company and all of its employees were extremely professional, helpful and caring.
Thao was prompt in her email correspondence when booking the course; and on any inquiries I had regarding the course and Phu Quoc Island.
My dive instructor Jacopo DL was informative, patient, helpful and provided a feeling of security and safety throughout the entire course. The theory aspect of my course flew by because Jacopo was quite comical, making the dry aspect of the course bearable. I walked away informed and prepared to complete the fundamental skills both in the pool and in the ocean.
Pedro, a dive master in training, was paired with us and helped make the course enjoyable. Friendly, outgoing, informative and patient- it was a pleasure to have him on the course with us.
My friend Brittany joined us on the boat both days. Jacopo and Pedro were both inclusive, friendly, and allowed her to join us wherever possible (ie. sit with us when I was completing my revision or debriefs).
I had the pleasure of going both to North and South Island and experiencing multiple dive sites. I have nothing but positive feedback for this company and I highly recommend going through them!
I enjoyed their service so much that I’ll be back to get my Advanced Open Water.

We wanted to do something memorable for the end of our Vietnam trip and decided to try diving. In the shop we were nicely helped by Eric explaining us a bit what to expect and what to do/not do. The day of the dive, we were picked up from the hotel and brought to the boat, where Mathilda explained us all of the equipment and took care of us during our dive, which was awesome! She also explained us what to do in case we want to continue diving and gave a log of our very first dive so thank you again! Moreover, we only had one dive but could snorkel while the rest was diving. A shout-out to Rish for being a great dive master and taking care of the equipment and also one to Eric for the nice conversations/tips in English and French. So all in all this was an incredible experience for us and we highly recommend trying it!

I went for two fun dives. My guide was right in front of me when we descended together but he stopped half-way, presumably to look for others. I found myself waiting for what seemed like forever at the bottom of the sea with very poor visibility. Not seeing anyone around I eventually decided to go up when I got pulled by the leg from behind. The guide was behind me the whole time so I had to keep turning around rather than enjoying the sight because I did not know the way. Twice he turned direction without telling me. There were only two other divers with us. I asked before the second dive for him to be in front but the second time was not much better. There were just two of us but I had to be the one looking out for him all the time.
The operations were overall smooth and everyone was friendly. However compared to another company I’d used on the island Rainbow’s boat was not as well equipped for sunbathing and the quality of lunch was a lot lower.

We had Eric Bertail as our dive instructor for our peak performance buoyancy course. He is very accommodating and helpful, also give us a bit of fun challenges to improve in our diving skills. me and my husband are very satisfied.

Just did my PADI Open water with Jacopo and Eric as our instructors- couldn’t have asked for anyone better! They made everything so easy to understand and helped us through every step of the course. They were patient with our whole group, helping each one of us individually with any troubles we had. Really recommend Rainbow and all their instructors. Thanks so much, can’t wait to get out and dive again!

Eric and Jacopo were the most amazing and helpful instructors we could’ve asked for. They were incredibly patient when we encountered difficulties and explained everything well. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to dive on phu quoc! Thank you so much guys 🙏

Rainbow divers was awesome. Matilda did a great job in handling all the dives. Office centrally located. And all the other instructors and dive masters were absolutely friendly. Did my reactivation there and my friend an open water course. Was able to do the theory bit online which saved time. Matilda was patient and experienced. Will listen to her and not wait another 14 years for my nxt dive. Great job

the staff at rainbow divers was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. the locations we went were stunningly gorgeous. amazing experience especially when you consider how low the price was. Maltilda happens to be the only name i remember from
their staff because she was my dive instructor but everybody i worked with was fantastic. thanks for an amazing day of diving and snorkeling!

Such a lovely diving trip with Rainbow divers in Phu Quoc. We had 2 free dives and saw amazing coral and fishes. Very professional, they came pick me up in my hostel and brought me back at the end.
We dived with Eric and learned a lot with him. The whole crew Rudy, Richab, Matilda and Gordon were stunning. Such an amazing journey, thanks a lot for everything. Special thanks for Eric!

Bonjour.
Pour le club, sans conteste le Rainbow Diver, des pros super sympas et du bon matériel. J'ai plongé en Février, l'eau à 28° , visibilité moyenne, mais les plongées se font entre 5 et 10 m, ce n'est pas très génant. Par contre , si vous voulez voir du poisson, allez au marché ou en devanture des restaurant le soir pour diner.

Hi there rainbow divers, I am coming to phu quoc next week and would like to book a few dives. I am a certified advanced diver with nitrox and deep specialities. Can you please tell me how to book some dives as I will be flying in late and would like to do some shallow dives the following day followed by deep dives the day after.

You have to be a certified diver to go for fun dives, because you have to know what you are doing underwater. There are some risks.
Fortunately some diving schools offer an introduction dive, so that people that never dived before. With an introduction dive, you dive together with an experienced diver.
I don't know if you can do this in Phu Quoc. You have to check it. To my knowledge there are three diving schools: Rainbow Divers, Flipper, and Red Divers.

The snorkelling is usually $25 for the north, where you stop at Fingernail Island and Turtle Island. You also get fruit on the boat and a Vietnamese lunch.
