If you are visiting a pepper farm in the north, this is a good stop for lunch. We were recommended to eat at Nha Be Thu Bao
Good selection of seafood which was priced attractively. No English was spoken, And our driver helped us with the food ordering. The views were great, over the water, and looking at the distant peaks of Cambodia.
The road to get here by road was unpaved for several km and a 4wd is recommended. Avoid heavy rain.

We had a lovely few hours at Rach Vem beautiful scenery, lovely restaurants on the water and great service. The beach itself is not a swimming beach but you can take a boat (at an additional cost) to a swimming beach. No starfish but it was also the wrong season

I chose Thu Bao restaurant via my friend recommendation
The food is soooo delicious! Fishes, shrimps and snails are so FRESH and HUGE . They also have various food offer in the menu to choose. The price is cheaper than most of restaurants in Duong Dong town.
And you can enjoy the atmostphere on the beach
The road is so dangerous you should come with friends and shouldnt drive at night.

The place is awesome . The drive there is currently a dirt rd so it’s bumpy and dusty on the scooter . Once your there the white sand is crispy , and the water is clean and clear . Walk out along the walkway to the restaurant, and peer into the catch pens with live seafood waiting to be eaten . The staff were very friendly and good vibes .
The food was amazing . Flavour was spot on and the fish fresh from the ocean .
I love this concept

There were many restaurants serving fresh seafood on stilts. Our seafood lunch of fish, shrimp were included in a tour. It is a nice place to eat and relax. However, after lunch, when I strolled along the beach, I was bitten by sandflies.

We hired a taxi for the day to take us (3) around (90k VND). He knew some interesting places including the floating retaurants. We actually thought we were just going to see a fishing villiage but when we got there it was lunch time so he took us to an open but covered restaurant accessed by a very long wooden path over the water. We had the room with 3 hammocks to ourselves for most of the time. You can jump right into the water if you want also. The owner comes in with the menu and you pick out what you want. I think we got something like 3 kilos of seafood for 60k VND but don't quote me on that. If you are lucky, they will catch the fish right before you eat it. If not, you probably will be eating a fish they caught within the hour anyway. The prawns and other seafood are pulled out right before cooking. Cooking is done by the owner on a little stove next to the table.
There are other restaurants nearby, some accessed by other wooden paths and some where you tell a guy at the shore and they send a small boat to get you.
We really liked it and it was a great experience.

Was excited to come here and finally see starfish for the first time. Parking is free. But the roads are very dusty. Please wear a mask if you can! I was sad to see how people mistreated the starfish as if they weren’t living things. One family took them out and placed them on the sand under the hot sun for a long time. Another local guy stacked them up and threw them back to the sea repeatedly. They should kick in some enforcement to protect these poor creatures. On the other hand, we got the sun beds easily and they are free to use. We had cobia fish, snails and scallops for lunch at one of the floating villages and it was great.

The floating village is dirty and not worth the visit. However if you take the first right just before the village it will take you to star fish beach. The beach is a tropical paradise with crystal clear water and tons of red star fish. They also have a floating restaurant that serves excellent fish. Bit pricey at about £30 for 4 people. But the view alone is worth it!

I been here with my friend when it till had only 1 floating, they pick us up by a small boat to go to floating. after order the food for our lunch (1 blacking fish, 1 kg crab, ...) then we ask them to bring us to a wild private beach with an extra cost (about 25$ for both way). We swim and relaxing there until felt hungry, we make a call and they send our lunch to us. After lunch, we continue swim, snorkling, and take a lot of picture until you feel tired. Then call them again, they will come to bring you back. That's really nice trip.

From Rach Vem Floating Village, there is a beach with same name "Rach Vem Beach" just near by but there is no road accessible, the only way to come is by boat. You can simply get a fisherboat to get there at around 500,000 VND round trip.
