Well this is the first stop in Vietnam and I hope it gets better. We are in a lovely bungalow with lovely gardens that's the highlight of Duong Dong, I have walked 5km to days in a row looking for same items of interest but are none in this city. Taxi are cheap in the city, but if you want to get out of here where the interesting sights are its going to cost you a bit of money. Been to night markets very boring, took a walk along the Long Beach large grainy sand with a big sloop into the water, which smells maybe because of the drain pipes all along the beach area putting the waste from the street into the water. For the food here places to eat plenty of, if you want to sit along the main street with fumes, smell and the heat, we found 1 restaurant with air Cond but its not cheap, but does western food.and same Pizza places along here to which are just ok. I,m stuck here for 6 days at least we have cable TV which for 2 days did not work. This is my 36 country most of them done in the last year I have been to same amazing places this is not one of them.

Dear Robinjroberts, Many thanks for your review. I agree with you, Duong Dong town has not many attractions to see, but there are many interesting places in Phu Quoc island you missed. With 6 days, you can spend 1 day to explore Duong Dong town, next days you can rent a motorbike to visit the north of island with national park, Swim wine factory or Ganh Dau cape and so on. One more day, visit the south of Phu Quoc: Sao beach, coconut prison, Ham Ninh village, Tranh stream. One day for snorkeling and fishing around three islets Finger nail islet - Dam Ngang - May Rut islets. One day to play games and visit Vinpearl land and Safari. And last day, free and easy for shopping, departuring. You can explore yourself or book tours with local travel agency. I think you did not spend time to get information of Phu Quoc island before your holiday. If you can not visit yourself, there are many local travel agencies willing to help you such as our Phu Quoc Vacations or Phu Quoc island explorer.

High recommend for all of you. Seafoods in Phu Quoc are so delicious and fresh, but I don't like fish sauce. We had unforgettable experiences in Sao Beach with sunbath.
