Our first visit to the Winter Lights. Great. We visit the winter garden every year and it is just beautiful. Shows what you can do with careful planting. A garden in winter can be stunning. I think they must have more visitors in the winter months than in the summer. They have made such an effort to have something of... More

Another enjoyable evening. Our third year and each year they manage to add one or two different light displays....wonderful atmosphere. Lucky again with the weather. Very organised with the parking and entry system. Everyone helpful. The pulled pork rolls and hot chocolate at the half way point were excellent value and really yummy. Then into the Cafe for Tea and... More

After three years of debating we finally booked tickets to visit Anglesey Abbey's illuminated gardens. It was a fantastic experience and we will go again next year. Tickets are available in the summer, for dates and time slots. Once in the gardens you can stay as long as you like, the entrance time slots are every fifteen minutes so it's... More

I went to Anglesey Abbey to see the Christmas winter lights. I found the whole experience disappointing. No Christmas atmosphere, no festive music, and the food and drinks were very over priced; for example, six roasted chestnuts for £3 !! I must say that the car parking was very organised. I have been to the Abbey many times before and... More

We visited on a Monday and had a chance to see all the gardens and the exterior of the Abbey and The Mill but not in the interiors. There was a whole gang of personnel very busy installing coloured light and decoration amongst the trees and bushes. We did have a preview but in day light and we suspect the... More

February can be a hard month for garden visits, but it is also one of the busiest months of the year for Anglesey Abbey. Snowdrop paradise.

Beautiful walks around the gardens, accessible with a pram. Good food in the cafe, can get very busy but the queue always moves along quickly. Lovely typical National Trust experience.

This was our first visit here, my little boy has been before with his nan however. It was a perfect day, the weather was fine and the trees were stunning in all their beautiful colours! I was so pleased to have had the opportunity to take some really great photos. We also took a picnic and ate it on a... More

Visited on a busy November Sunday...there'd been a lot of rain but the paths are pretty solid. We ambled round the winter garden walk, looking at the spectacular colour in the trees and boarders. The formal lawns and gardens were hibernated for winter. Popped into the bookshop for a browse. Couldn't get near the restaurant as it was choca at... More
