Great location.

Ardfern is a very small place and exists mainly for the large marina which gives it great access out to sea. We drove to the tip of the peninsula for magical views.

Beautiful part of the country!

Ardfern is a small village with a lovely marina and tremendous views. Plenty of walks of various lengths in the area. A walk or drive to the point and you are looking out to the Sound of Jura, stunning! Well placed for trips to other places, Lochgilphead, Kilmartin and Oban plus others all within less than 30 miles. Slight downside is possibly that there are only 2 places to eat in the village (that we could see) but other places for eating within 5 miles or so, so maybe not too much of an issue. Really beautiful part of our beautiful Scotland

Hidden gem

Relaxing and perfect to quietly walk seeing nature at its best! We walked along the waters edge at low tide and then up into the hills through the trees. Stunning scenery and magical views .

Lovely location.

Off the beaten track hides a gem of a location. Only 24 miles from Oban this is an ideal spot to stay to visit various locations. Single track road means it is ideal for walking. Walk along the shore, visit the boat yard, great local pub. Great if you want a break away from it all. Quiet, relaxing and stress free. Put this on your list of places to visit. Definitely worth it.

Ardfern Marina
Jul 2018 • Friends
We visited Ardfern Marina in early July 2018. They were extremely welcoming, very helpful with advance information about berth number and which side to prepare for berthing etc. Excellent chandlery and very tidy pontoons. We ate at The Galley of Lorne and, as on a previous visit enjoyed our meal. Beautiful place, friendly people, many thanks.

Some great views and good boating. A good base for West coast activities and lots of good sightseeing to be had. A brilliant local convenience store with lots of fresh local produce.

I have just spent one night in the Tiree room with my little dog - wish it could have been longer, will definitely be back to this beautiful part of Scotland. Fantastic value for money with a full breakfast included in the price and smallish but very well equipped and cosy room with a window with a view and a fabulous ensuite shower room. Highly recommended for a peaceful quite break.
