I would highly recommend Chillin and Grilling at Oistans place. Especially the shrimp, barracuda, and flying fish. The ambience of the place is like one of a family living room. A lot of fun, love, and amazing people brought together with the enjoyment of food,...More

Having read a few reviews we expected to get hustled a bit but it wasn't too bad. Chose Mo's to eat in as it was central and next to the stage but all menus seemed similar. Food was actually quite good - I had swordfish...More

We visited the Friday after Crop Over ended and it was fantastic. The food places all smelled amazing and the one we chose was delicious. I had flying fish for the first time and it was super tasty. The markets were also very good too....More

If you’re in Barbados on a Friday evening, check out the local fish market that is open with a variety of restaurants. You should get there before 6pm as it gets crowded and Pat’s is the place to go for dinner. You can get drinks...More

First time there and mostly for the crafts. BUT the many places to eat and even though the foods were mostly the same choices and prices all were stuffed with people. We were with a young couple from California and sat together when we ordered...More

We visited here whilst staying at a nearby hotel. It had been recommended due to the food and atmosphere on a Friday night. I think I’d thought ‘a street of lovely fish restaurants near the sea’... It definitely wasn’t what I’d expected though. It was...More

We travelled here from The Tamarind where we were staying on the Reggae Reggae bus. (It’s a long way!) The music was good and there was plenty to see, so it’s worth a visit from that point of view. The food was poor frankly, over...More

We found Oistins overhyped. Not great for families with young children. In fact was stressful. We went to Uncle George’s which is recommended by all the locals but we found it distinctly average in the words of Simon Cowell! Busy crowds, plastic seating and average...More

More about the atmosphere than the food, that's not to say the food was bad, probably just a bit overpriced. Loads going on and a good atmosphere with various bands playing, would I go back....not sure.....

Great night, good food and a carnival atmosphere with local people. We bought a few items from the market stalls and ate at one of the street food places. We came with a tour party from our hotel and only really needed an hour and...More

Barbados dollar is fixed to usd. 2 barbados dollar to one USD. They accept both (you can even mix and match currencies ). But they will give you change in Barbados dollars.

I worked in Barbados and this festival is called Crop over. It’s more people getting dressed in authentic clothing. Friday night fish fry is weekly as all the fisherman sell their fresh catch
