My dive buddy and I are technical divers and as such have several requirements to support a dive holiday in terms of local advice, equipment and gases. Even before our holiday, Paul and the team at Aquanauts were very helpful in answering questions and providing valuable information in readiness for our trip. The online booking system was simple and easy to use. From day 1 in Grenada, the Aquanauts team were very welcoming and friendly. We stayed at the True Blue Bay Resort, which was ideal as a base for diving with Aquanauts, who have an established set up for both recreational and technical diving. My buddy took his TDI normoxic trimix ccr course and I my SDI solo diver course under the excellent tutelage of Paul Ward (instructor). In addition, we had booked the 20-dive package, which proved very cost effective and gave us access to many of the wonderful dive sites in Grenada. Aquanauts operate three good size dive boats with great skippers who got us to our various dive sites in quick time, on average 30 minutes or less. Safety briefings were given prior to leaving the dock and dive site briefings before each dive. The dive shop has a good selection of dive related paraphenalia and there are wash tanks next to the landing area for cleaning gear post-dive. In summary, an excellent dive operation that I look forward to visiting again.

I honestly don't know where to start. The whole trip was first class. We enjoyed a full week with the Aquanauts team & every person was a delight. They accommodated our extra large group (35 Divers) using all 3 of the boats available. We had families, couples, solo and friends, beginners and advance divers. Many companies would have pushed us all on one or two boats. But they wanted us to be comfortable, and we were. I love easy diving and this was that for sure. Every day was better than the last, and seeing a Goliath on day one set the benchmark. So much sea life and such easy dives makes the diving "good". But the welcoming friendliness of whole team made it incredible. Aquanauts is a family run business and by the end of the trip you will feel like Family as well.

My group of 10 experienced divers did 16 dives over the course of 5 days with this operation July 31st - August 4th and this dive op is the most spectacular shop I've ever dove with. It's family owned and operated and they welcomed our group into the family immediately.
We were met by Tiff and Tammy at check-in given the run down for our first day. They picked up our gear the next morning and we didn't have to lug it down to the shop. After we set up our gear the first day we didn't have to touch it the rest of the week.
Often on dive boats the captains will take their position at the wheel and you never see or hear from them again but our captains Bruce, Wes, and Crispin were friendly and engaged with guest. Helping as needed and ensuring entry and exit from the boat was safe and easy. Wes even hosted a "dance party" during a surface interval. The level of skill these captains hold is exceptional; one day we even dropped a diver off at his private sailboat maneuvering close enough to deposit him right on his dingy. The boat we were on for the week Calypso was comfortable and spacious.
All of the the dive masters in the water with us were incredible. I personally fell in love with Esma, Ty, and Bruce. All of the dive masters did an exceptional job pointing out life and making sure everyone saw what we were looking for even taking special requests "I want to see a chain moray". Sure enough here comes Esma motioning to point out a chain moray. I never felt like I was being corralled by the crew.
The dive sites are a beautiful mix of breath taking wrecks and lively reefs. There is something for every one to see. All of our dives were 55 minutes with 3 minute safety stops and I never felt like my dives were getting cut short.
This is definitely a shop I would love to visit again!

Fantastic dive centre, family owned and run with a super team of guides, boat captains and dive instructors - many are all three.
The instruction is superb - made fun and imparted in such a way that divers grow in confidence and skill without realising they are learning. And super pools at the True Blue Resort for practising skills before going into the open sea.
Lots of interesting fish life… if you look carefully. A Lots of cow/box and filefish (way more than I’ve seen anywhere else), shrimp, jawfish, flying gurnards, seahorses, crabs, huge free swimming morays and spiny lobsters and many of those rarer seen species in otherwise common families. Super corals and huge sponges. Black gorgonians. Wonderful.
Only slight downside for us was only two morning (a 2-tank boat trip) dives each day. You need four or more divers for them to run additional afternoon dives. Nitric comes as standard if you are qualified.

I love that you noticed that our team is cross trained and able to wear so many hats. That actually was what we focused on during Covid in order to keep our team working and advancing in knowledge.
We are so happy that you had a great time learning with us and enjoying our beautiful and healthy reefs and wrecks here in Grenada. We truly are blessed here!
I do want to apologize that we weren't able to keep you diving as often as you would have liked. Most times, with advance notice we can help to achieve the minimum amount of divers to go out by reaching out to locals that like to dive. It saddens me that we weren't able to make it happen for you and please, let me (Tammy) know when you come back so that I can ensure that you are diving as much as you possible can with us!

Aside from the great dive sites, boats and overall dive operation, it is the Aquanaut dive team that takes it up a notch. I have never met a friendlier, more welcoming, FUN bunch that sincerely loves what it's doing. I thought their smiles would diminish as the week went on, boy was I wrong, their contagious smiles only got bigger as did everyone else's. The owners, Tom, Tammy, Ty and Tiffany, were with us on every dive answering our questions and filling us in on things of interest. I go on three to four dive trips a year and am always on the lookout for places to go back to and if I return (and I hope I do) it will be in large part "my" Aquanaut family!

We had a wonderful experience diving with Aquanauts. While this dive shop changed ownership in late 2020/early 2021, the service is still exceptional. This is now a 3 generation family owned business, committed to education, safety and conservation of the resources of Grenada and the oceans. Tom goes to schools for environmental outreach programs, and he is working to get a recycling program started!
As advanced divers, we were very happy with the level of expertise on the dive boats and in the water with the divemasters. Bruce and the other divemasters went out of their way to ensure we had the best dives possible. While vis was not great the week we were there (beginning of rainy season and storms just moved through), we had great dives, worthy of our level of experience.
They have 3 boats, and they group the divers according to experience levels. That way we can go to the deeper, and more challenging dive sites while others can dive sites with less current and shallower, matching their comfort level. They also pair 1 divemaster per 4 divers/2 buddy teams.
We stayed at Sandals, and their dive shop caters to resort divers, grouping all together, regardless of skill level. We only dove 2 days with Sandals before switching to Aquanauts. Sandals did a great job with the divers they had, but this limited us on location and bottom time. We were able to get bottom times of an hour with Aquanauts, whereas we averaged 30-40 minutes bottom time with Sandals. Aquanauts also has at least 2 divemasters in the water with all dives, regardless of # of divers, and we can come up when we run out of bottom time or air. All divers are required to come up when the first person runs low on air at Sandals.
Sandals is awesome on pampering out of the water, but Aquanauts is all about the diving experience. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone wanting to dive Grenada. They do it right.

Absolute incredible experience here. My family dove with aquanauts. Between the six of us there was a big difference in certification level. They made everyone in our group feel very comfortable. Bruce was an excellent dive master. I would highly recommend anyone or any family who is interested in diving Grenada to book through Aquanauts.

Just returned from True Blue Grand Anse and Aquanauts Dive Experience. We had a wonderful time. The shop went above and beyond in professional courtesy and hospitality. Ah, the boat and dive guides were fantastic. We bonded with our boat crew and they showed true professional courtesy, experience, and outstandiing hospitality. I would recommend this operation to anyone who dives Greneda

We had a fantastic week (23 dives) with this great group.
The new owners, the Geer’s are passionate about diving and educating people about how to enjoy and preserve this beautiful ocean.
The dive team is all very accommodating and helpful. We pretty much dived exclusively with Myron and Crispin who made us feel like we were the only divers in the boat. Their attention to detail, safety and ability to find anything under the water was incredible, plus they have great personalities and are a lot of fun! We highly recommend diving with Aquanauts Grenada!

As good a dive outfit as anyone and WAY better than most! These guys are all about making sure you have the best diving with no compromise on safety. Great boats, great shop, free nitrox, easy rinse and gear care facilities. But most of all, it's the people. The captains, dive masters, shop personal, all top touch while totally enjoying their work.

I would like point out that the previous physical injury I mention in my recent review was a back-strain caused by lifting my wife's heavy suitcase and not by any diving activities.
