Arrivati a Voghera in piazza Meardi, appena entrati in via Emilia, si trova questa piccola chiesa con architettura barocca. Vale la pena entrare per osservare le opere sacre esposte ( un dipinto di San Francesco ), le reliquie di San Rocco e l’altare.

Mi piace ritornare nella Chiesa di San Rocco nel centro di Voghera in via Emilia a pochi passi da piazza Meardi. Questa Chiesa, piccola e semplice, custodisce un braccio e due snodi di dita di San Rocco. All'interno esposte opere sacre e dipinti. a San Rocco è raffigurato con un cane che gli lecca le ferite.

Piccola Chiesa nel centro di Voghera, dedicata a San Rocco, il pellegrino che viene raffigurato col cane che gli lecca le ferite. La chiesa è semplice ma carina.
Secondo tradizione il Santo è proprio morto a Voghera, ed infatti in molti paesi della zona c'è una chiesa/chiesetta o un oratorio a lui dedicato

E' sempre stata la mia parrocchia, ho frequentato l'oratorio, ho fatto cresima e prima comunione. Dentro è piccola ma molto bella.

Entrando al centro di Voghera, dopo piazza Meardi, si arriva alla via Emilia e subito all'inizio troviamo aperta la bella chiesa di San Rocco ; semplice all'interno, ricorda il luogo dell'arresto e della morte del Santo, e vi è custodita una sua reliquia ; si tratta del santo che ha aiutato gli appestati ed è venerato in diverse città d'Italia.
