This garden is definitely worth a visit, particularly if you are a keen gardener. The combination of plants, the textural layout and the general ambience are superb. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

These are private gardens built in a disused stone quarry, that are opened up to the public on weekends. Various events are held, including music concerts, with horses dancing to the music in a shallow lake . One of the most popular events is the Venetian weekend, when models wearing venetian costume walk through the gardens, and pose for the amateur photographers amongst us to photograph them in this beautiful natural setting. There is amply parking facilities and there is the possibility to snack on site. Entrance is by way of a small fee..

A magnificent Garden project created from an old quarry. Entry fee dirt cheap at only €6 and that includes a 'horse dancing' demonstartion each afternnon. Well worth 2 hours to explor the garden. Small snack bar offering a range of drinks and a couple of light snacks, reasonably priced. Would reccommend a visit for anyone.

I can see that this garden has been a labour of love and transformation. I didn’t see any guide, nor any horse display, so that may be why I experienced this as a dull and disappointing garden (unlike other reviewers who seem to have enjoyed a quite different experience to me). It has a lot of very harsh, rock landscaping, as you would expect from an old quarry (unless you have seen Butchart Gardens in Victoria, Canada which are truly beautiful and spectacular). There are very few flowers to see and, to my eye at least, this place is more about rock and ponds than gardens. I may well be spoiled because I live in Hamilton, New Zealand which has a spectacular, free public garden, but I can’t recommend a visit to Saint Adrien’s garden if you are seeking beautiful trees and flowers.

The garden is somewhere to visit if you are passing, but not worth a major detour. Opening times are a bit restrictive and inaccurate. We arrived half an hour before advertised time and there were lots of folk already admitted! If you want to visit, phone before to verify that the garden is actually going to be open.

A wonderful fine in an out of the way place. Kudos to the family that bought the old quarry and had the imagination and the will to transform it into such an oasis! We were hoping for more of a garden atmosphere with more variation of flowers and more gardens. Having said that we were not disappointed because of all the water and fountains around the property. I also loved some of the "wildlife". There were frogs in the ponds, a pair of nesting swans and a pair of emus. Very beautiful and worth the visit!

We visited as part of a group visit on a warm spring day when there were few other visitors. We were given a guided tour and what was most intriguing for us was to learn how the family had bought the old quarry, cleared the chaotic growth and created the garden around the pools of water. It is the water that is the most important feature of the garden. Without the water the garden would be rather ordinary. Try not to visit in the busy summer season. Spring and early autumn are best. Check on the website and/or phone to see if the garden is open.

As it used to say in another guide book “worth a detour” possibly not worth a special journey, but if in the area this lovely garden is well worth taking a look at, very tranquil, making great use of the old quarry that it used to be. Depending on your love of gardens, and how much you want to know about the history of the place allow between one and two hours. If in the area again I would certainly go again just to enjoy this lovely oasis of tranquility.

You can tell that this garden is a labour of love. Immaculate in every way. The sculptures are beautiful.
The garden is set in an old quarry pit. The cost of entry is 6 euros. There is coffee and ice cream available. There is plenty of seating around the garden to rest and take in the view.
The garden is not big and the visit took us just over 2 hrs.
If you are in the area this garden is worth a visit.

Every time we have visitors to our house near Pezenas, we try to ensure that they get to see these beautiful gardens. They are usefully located just off the A75 autoroute at Servian and, if open, they never fail to impress. This time it was the visit of our two granddaughters aged 2 and 4 and both they and their parents were enchanted. They loved sitting on the sunken statue of a lady and playing on the grassy areas between the plants. Our son-in-law is a keen gardener and enjoyed viewing all the flowers immensely. As an amateur photographer, I was in my element. And to cap it all, by chance, we chose one of the days when there was a horse display in the shallow lake at the back of the quarry, This in the bright sunlight, was wonderful. We will continue to visit this attraction many times each year as we never tire of it.
