Very busy and lots of stalls a lot of the same tourist things as expected. Nice street food lots of bars and some restaurants. Cheap cocktails. We were staying in Lamai and we paid 400bht for tut tut on the way there and same price for air conditioned taxi on the way home. I would like to visit again in... More

Well Chaweng area is full of so called "tourist restaurants" that will do almost anything to get in to their restaurant, overpriced dishes that taste like home... your home in Europe or America. So if you up to have a real Thai food with real Thai prices, look for the photo I attached, the food here is so good that... More

Food is cheap and quite good. Can be really busy so if you don't like crowds this isn't the place for you. Stalls are ok with all the knock off gear and some local stuff but buyer beware, the watches last about as long as your suntan does!! lol. All the walking markets appear to have the same stalls so... I bought my boyfriend a bracelet here. It broke working first hour. They would not let us trade and the women were completely rude and irate. Never go here for purchases -a world traveler

Chilled out evening - we visited on a Friday. Street food is ok, market stalls were full of the same stuff you find in other parts of Samui. Is a long walking street, so I recommend a foot massage 1/2 way along...worth it.

If you are in Samui near the walking street get your self to the Tipsy Bar the staff are brilliant and cannot do enough for you. The drinks are also cheap,

Bophut walking street on the surface looks like a good idea. But in reality, it is fraught with unexpected dangers. We went for that walk on an evening when it had rained fairly heavily earlier on. It was a stretch to remain dry as cars drove by occasionally splashing water in their wake. We also had to be extra careful... More

There are a few nice little stalls to grab such dinner especially for travellers on a budget. We had pizza and Mexican from two of the stalls and a meal costs roughly between 150/200 THB.
