This wat is impressive as it is topped by a giant Buddha image. Inside is an informative museum/education center, and out back a beautiful lake with pagoda. The legend behind the Wat is really interesting. The whole thing is worth investing a few hours.

Buddhist Park on Road 21 before entering the city of Phetchabun. A large Buddha image of Phra Maha Thammaracha in the style of Khmer art. Lawo Lopburi. During the Thai Festival around September, it is a place for holding a diving Buddha ceremony. There is a waterfront performance stage on the south side. Along with seats to watch the light and sound show, the history of the tradition of carrying the Buddha under water, a big event, the only one in Thailand. The nighttime event is bustling with booths. Exhibitions of various government agencies in this province

Nice and calming place. You can feed the fish on a nice pier on the lake for 10 bath, relax and enjoy your surroundings. Worth a visit thoug I wish the garden was bigger.

I have been here several times now with my family. My first visit was in March of 2014 and I've been back 5 times. It is a very inspirational place. Most days there will be many people there, but if you go up top or on the back by the lake the crowd thins out. I like being here as it is calming and relaxing. If you are in Phetchabun, it is a must see. A spiritual location for sure.

In truth, there isn't really much else touristy to do in Phetchabun so if you're at a loose end you might want to check this place out. Its just off the main road so easy access and its good for photos

On the main Highway 21 as you enter the city from the north. Large Buddha Statue. Good parking, some food shops, seating, toilets and places to eat. The grounds and lake are well looked after. You can feed the fish in the lake and walk to the island in the lake. Good place for quiet meditation.

Under the main statue is the temple and more statues.
