Took the cablecar up to the mountain and walked for about 2 hours, taking many photos and making friends with local cows. Weather mixture of cloudes and sunrays was just perfect to enjoy the location at its best. We were there on wednesday which meant a crepe day at the Saxnerhütte and had a good meal after the walk.

We spent a lovely couple of days at Ratschings (Racines). The snow was perfect, and the mountain was very easy to navigate. While not a huge resort, there was plenty of room to play for a weekend. The slopes were beautifully maintained and inviting, and the lift lines moved quickly. The gondola and multi-seat lifts managed to move guests rapidly up the mountain.

We came here with my parents and our children ( Ages 7-16) for 3 days of ski, all of us absolut beginners. The whole package was wonderful: staff was helpful, equipment very good, and it is very easy to understand and get around the site. We all took lesson at the ski school, and the instructors were amazing. The children's area at the top of the mountain is secure and friendly to all ages, and the bars and restaurants both down below and up the mountain are lovely. We highly recommend coming here if you are not looking for a huge site, but a small, family oriented place to learn how to ski.

In the last 20 years I saw all the developments and the area keeps getting better. You don't need to be bother by parking, there's a nice multilevel parking next to the Ropeways that quick and gets renovated every year. On top of the mountain you can choose a variety of slopes and in the powder days you get beautiful free-rides as well. Sunshine and nice spots on the slopes to enjoy local cuisine. Ah by the way there's also a kinder garden with sky/snow board teachers!

Excellent slope conditions, very helpful and friendly people everywhere. They do their best to keep the slopes in great shape given the often abundant snow.

Let me start by saying that we are not skiers but I am happy to do some sledding for my daughters.
We arrived full of expectations of fun... but...
We rented sleds and helmets, climbed to the top (wonderful view) and were ready to go!!!
How much ever!!! It's a sled run but not for incompetent people like us!!! Few banks, as you pick up speed you can't stop, for goodness sake we're not capable, but I wish someone had warned me before leaving!!!
I was terrified of falling into a ravine with my daughter, her crying, me almost breaking my leg trying to brake and limit the speed...
We were a danger to ourselves but also to those who (rightly) descended at high speed.
I thought it was a children's slope but I was wrong...
