Madeira Island’s western shores are home to natural sea pools, traditional fishing villages, soaring cliffs, and dense forests, but reaching the top sites requires local knowledge. On this tour, travel from your Canico, Funchal, or Machico hotel via air-conditioned minibus, and reach the sites with ease. Hit sites of interest including Câmara de Lobos, Porto Moniz, and the Ribeira Brava, and enjoy personal attention from your guide on this small-group tour, limited to 16 people.

This walk is made in conjunction with Caldeirão Verde, so you just need to keep going, and it is worth it.

Amazing walk, strongly recommended. Beautiful green all around, waterfalls, lagoons, tunnels. It is maybe bit longer in distance (approx. 18km in total), on the other hand not difficult; few stairs though. Really good choice if you need one day rest from direct sunshine :) This was #1 trip for us. Definitely go for it!

It is continuation of Caldeirao verde. It is more diffciult. Sometimes you have to be careful where you step. It is better in the morning there are less people.

We did this levada together with Calderaio Verde and we have to admit, that it was the best levada we passed. This trip had everything: tunnels, view points, waterfalls, gorges, lush vegetation, places to relax, narrow paths... we really saw all in one trip. It was worth waking up early in the morning, we parked in Queimadas at 8:40 (parking was for free - opened gate, free entrance) and we were nearly the first visitors on the way. We were lucky because we could enjoy all the interesting places alone. The whole trip took us 6 hours including short break for lunch at the end of Levada Inferno. The whole trip was 20km long. On the way back we met many tourists starting their way and going against us which made the walking difficult in the narrow parts. I would say that it is well visited levada - the parking lot was absolutely full in the afternoon.

Decide to go here since we did not have got too much time in this day to hikke. All trip is easy and nice. You need to take some light so You can pass tunels along the walk. Worth to see and enjoy nature
