First time in La Palma and loved it. Decided to take the 4 hour trip as we enjoy being at sea and any animals would be a bonus. We were aboard the larger boat ( Fantasy I think)... Crew were fantastic and went above and beyond on hospitality and making you feel welcome.
The swell on the sea was about 8ft but not choppy. Within an hour we had seen out first lot of Dolphins... then over the next 3 hours we saw 3 pods of Pilot Whales, 4 sea turtles and many more dolphins ( 2 different types). It was good to see the crew as excited as we were!!
I cannot recommend this company enough... an incredible experience

Had an amazing time! Went on the Fantasy Submarine Vision Tour at 1100 on 19th December. Our crew were Maurizio and David, couldn't hqve been any more freindly and helpful.
Saw some beautiful shore side villages and harbours, entered the beautiful cave, all narated informatively and clearly by Maurizio.
The boat was amazing with a huge underwater viewing window pod, just fantsatic.
The highlight for us, wqs when David, who was driving, found a pod of pilot whales and a school of dolphins! We spent at least 30 minutes watching them play!!
Also have to mention, that the guys also found debris in the ocean that could have been harmful to marine life and made sure they collected it and brought it back to shore for safe disposal.
Absolute must if you are visiting La Palma!

Our trip on Fancy II was in a word Perfect! We took the afternoon trip (started approx. 2:25 because we had to wait for the morning boat to return. The sun was shining, the sea was calm and we saw some Sperm Whales and Bottle nose dolphins. We were able to enter a cave along the way, which isn’t always possible due to waves. The crew was interactive and very pleasant. We sat on the top deck. There the captain spoke mostly in Spanish and (if we knew the language we may have learned a bit more). Some english speaking crew members made a point to come by and explain things in english when we stoped or had sightings. For the most part things were pretty self explanatory. There was a short stop for a swim and the November waters were a very pleasant temperature. They provide drinks and cake and sandwiches, beer can be purchased for €1. All of this for a cost of €35.
Our trip was the North route and the scenery was spectacular.
I don’t know if all trips are as successful as ours was but I would say again ours was perfect.
We stayed in Santa Cruz on the opposite side of the island. When we left it was cloudy and not particularly warm. Once we passed the top of the mountain and started our decent to the west coast it was all sunshine. So don’t think the weather is the same on both sides.
We took the public bus from our Hotel (La Parador). I think €4.30 euro (bus 300) to Los Llanos. Then took bus 207 or 100 to Puerto De Tazacorte. €2.74 Euro. (these prices are for two people and are applicable each way). A good tip I received from another trip advisor is to down load the app “Moovit” I found it great for bus times and routes. I also liked the notice it gives you when you are getting near your stop on the bus. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hrs but it is scenic and comfortable if you get a seat. Taxi is approx. €45 and will take approx. .5 hours.

We have been on many Whale Watching tours in the last years and havr never experienced such an unmotivated, inattentive and indifferent crew. No information whatsoever, neither beforehand nor during the trip, not on the places visited, not on the animals, not on the island. Only a few selected passengers got to actually talk to the guys, most of the times the crew was busy checking their cellphones. Even if there had been any information, most of us couldnt have understood it because there is no loudspeaker on the boat.
If you expect a intimate, personal experience, you are also on the wrong boat, because it can take up to 60 people. The random music played is out of place and adds to the impression of mass „processing“.
There is absolutely no problem with not seeing any cetaceans, it‘s nature, but a goodbye and a thank you can be expected nevertheless. It‘s just no way of dealing with customers.
Sorry, but for this price one can and should expect much more!
The two stars are for the free soft drinks and the beautiful scenery.
we for sure won‘t book with this company again. Real shame.

picture: the crew „attending“ to their customers…

We booked this trip whilst in England as we were keen to see dolphins in their natural habitat and didn't want to find it fully booked up when we arrived on holiday.

The boat was well maintained with a very friendly, experienced and informative crew. Watching the captain pilot the boat was fabulous.

We sat on the top deck under the sun canopy but wandered around the different levels as we needed to. The boat was full but there was still plenty of room and seats for all.

The food served on board was simple, fresh and very tasty and always served with a smile.

After an hour or so, we were resigned to the fact that we may not see anything at all but were comfortable with this as the trip was so enjoyable - just to sit and take in the tranquility and vastness of the ocean and the stunning scenery of the island was more than enough for us. Then a pod of dolphins, including a momma and baby dolphin came into view. They all danced around the boat and were so so beautiful. We took pictures with our point and press camera, but the pictures taken with the mind are far better than any electronic image we captured.

We carried on our journey and the some further excitement, especially amongst the crew, as we spotted a hammerhead shark - again so beautiful to see.

Further along we had some flying fish and then headed into the caves where the captain impressively reversed into the rockface with incredible precision.

We headed back towards the harbour, docked in some tranquil water before embarking on the banana boat and into the sea for a swim.

A fabulous experience - and yes you are at the mercy of Mother Nature who determines what you see, but most definitely worth taking the trip.

We did this in November 2019. A great tour along the coastline and caves before turning out towards the Atlantic Ocean. The crew spoke multiple languages and gave us information about the various sights along the way.

They tow a Banana boat along and at a point in the tour they ask if anyone would like to ride on it, or get in the water for a swim.

Like any wild animal tour it’s down to the animals to appear. After a couple of hours it was starting to look like we might not get to see anything. The Crew worked constantly, looking out through their binoculars. Just as the sun was starting to set they spotted a Pod of Dolphins and sailed us straight to them.

The whole time the Crew were offering us food and drinks. Sandwiches, Cookies and Fruit. There was a fruit bowl downstairs to help yourself. As the Sun dropped the Crew also handed us some blankets to keeps us warm until we arrived back to the port.

We really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it. We were lucky in that there were only around 15 people on the boat, it was the second tour of the day (15:30)

It is probably a little unfair to review something like this trip out on the Fancy II as it will depend on lots of things that the owners cannot control such as sea creatures and weather! However, here is my review -

The day we went out there were about 10 of us and this was about the perfect number for the boat! I seem to recall it takes 50 and I would not want to be on it with that many other people!

The boat appears well kept and the staff in general were pleasant and smiley (always helps to have smiley people around.) Drinks and snacks are provided but these extend to tiny little cups of drink and dry biscuits, bland triangles of sandwich and of course fruit. Nothing to write home about.

We saw lots and lots and lots of dolphins and this was wonderful. Just the right way to see dolphins in the wild doing what they should be doing. There is just something about them that makes you smile.

Of course we didn't see any whales!

The boat took us to a cave where it reversed in - as caves go this was probably the most boring cave I have been to (and I seem to have been to a lot.) There was a questionable face shape on the rocks and that was about it. We also went by some huts built into a cave where a rather brave/foolish girl was sitting reading a book - there was supposed to be something notable about these huts but I am afraid it slipped by me without note!

It was interesting (a bit) to see the island from the sea but really other than the dolphins as trips go this had the potential to be really boring!

its a boat trip and if that rocks your boat then great - if not well ...

Oh the captain did lack humour or at least an understanding of english humour... after we moved on from the dolphins I smiled and made a joke about now we've done the dolphins can we see a whale - to which he grouchily told me "this is the sea not an aquarium" ..... Had I thought that he was capable of being on the receiving end of any of my own sarcasm I would have had a go at him but just chewed my lip off instead.

Well we were so very very surprised at what a wonderful 3 hour cruise we took with the Fancy.
We saw so many Dolphins in their natural habitat...the ocean. They were jumping into the air, turning and generally putting on a show for us all on this very comfortable boat.
Staff are all very welcoming and so willing to give information and offer us drinks, snacks including sandwiches cakes etc.Highly recommend this trip.
Views of the LA Palma cliffs, mountains, caves in the bays all are well worth seeing.
A highly enjoyable experience.
Go see for yourselves....

We started the boat trip on the catamaran with about 30 people which is a really good crowd for its size.
We have seen dozens of dolphins in 2 species and 1 turtle so it was a good day for us. Also quite sunny and the sea was not very rough, still the boat moves a lot on the waves and a lot of people got seasick. This was attended (as far as we could see) quite well by the crew. The lunch consisted out of some toast with butter, soup and a small chocolate desert, together with the drinks nothing to complain. The crew did its best to explain some thing and making sure you had a good time.
Overall: well worth the money! Would recommend to all.

Recently went on a Monday , the sea was quite choppy on board you didn't actually feel it, if you sat at the front on the boat there was a 99% you would get wet.. tour was on the catamaran for 3.5 hours, it followed the coast line up north to some caves which were formed from the volcanic activity ( the boat does go in one but due to the swell wasn't able to stop in for long) and beach huts. There was an opportunity to go swimming and gave a go on the banana boat (kids could have a slower ride too). We then went out to sea managed to see a school of shy dolphins ( cannot remember the type) and then the bottlenosed ones which followed the boat which was really good. In the hull there are submersible view points to see them under the sea. Unfortunately didn't see any whales but that is all down to luck, the smaller boat in the afternoon got to see them on the horizon only. Food and certain drinks included in the price.well worth it and great for the kids.
