If you are a nervous driver don't go there. The drive down from Tijarafe is the steepest I have ever experienced. The road is very narrow and you find yourself praying you don't meet a car going in the opposite direction !!!! We met 2 and reversing was a nightmare.
However, if you do decide to go you will have a 15 minute walk from the car park before reaching one of the most amazing places I have ever seen and people actually live there.
This really is an astonishing experience.
But prepare yourself for the drive back up to the village.

Best kept secret on La Palma!
Great place to swim in crystal like waters!
Very difficult to get to, because the very narrow 4kms road plunges towards the sea in a series of steep hairpins!
In Tijarafe, turn into the calle Molina right after the Kiosko del Diablo, and drive slowly down and down and down until the small parking lot. Then, 10 mns walk will bring you to the spectacular sea cave where a few fishermen houses have been built years ago!
The water is just gorgeous, and just a little fresh which is quite pleasant in the summer.
You can dive into the sea, or use the ladder nailed into the rocks.
Bring good shoes, sunscreen, water, and a small towel as there is not much space to lay down onto the rocks!
Just magical!

This place is quite unusual. A whitewashed empty fishing village built into the edge of a cave inlet from the sea. I didn't go swimming but it looked like it would be lovely to do on a hot day.
I went alone to photograph it and had it to myself. Was a little eerie. Would love to go back and photograph at sunset.

It felt like we stumbled upon this little spot, as it reveals itself suddenly from above. When we visited, we were the only ones there and it felt like discovering a lost civilization.

We were a family of 5 adults travelling in a large minibus. The road down was quite scary, but a great experience. Fantastic views. Unfortunately the sea was quite choppy when we visited, so we decided not to swim. Still very interesting to walk around and see the little shacks built into the rocky cliff.

Great wild place. Not so easy to find but with a good map it is to do. Spectaculair road leads to a high coast.

We are very lucky because our family has a shack located at this place and we stayed a few nights. It beautiful and the water is crystal clear but very cold. It is worth the walk down if you want to see one of the most beautiful places in the world. The people that have place here are very friendly and will to help if you need anything. This place is located at the bottom of a mountain, so watch out for rocks that may come loose and fall. Enjoy and take many pictures, its free.

This place is definitely worth to visit. To get there you have to drive extremely steep and narrow road in Tijarafe. Small car park is available at the end of the road. About 700 meters by walk and You are on place. Beautiful complex of fish man houses hidden between the rocks. Amazing place! Must see!
