We went for the sheltered swim, in the horseshoe section, which is stunningly beautiful.
Even late October, the sea was warm enough for our family, and utterly calm, despite post storm seas on the outside. There is also, on the seaward rocks, a natural jacuzzi, which was amazing, just floating in the bubbles!
But as we were leaving, chatting to a friendly local, he assumed we had seen the cave - but we hadnt heard of it. So back next morning, when the light was best, we went down the very worn steps to am experience that if I'd known of it would be on my bucket list.
Past the deep purple, soft covered entrance, into an incredible domed sea cave, lit by a fissure to the open sea, but gentle inside, the water turquoise, a shaft open above - it was incredible.
That stretch of coast has many grottos, inlets, which are great; but this is the one that stands out.

We visited Marina Serra twice as we liked it so much. It’s an amazing sheltered natural cove surrounded by high rocks. Beautiful and wild natural surroundings - bring a snorkel or goggles as there were plenty of different fish swimming around to watch.

The water is calm and clear and never more than waist deep for an adult. It felt safe to swim. Access into the water is easy via wide manmade steps. It would be a good idea to wear water shoes as the bottom is rocky.

It is possible to access the open ocean via two channels but when we visited the sea was too rough to venture further, although fine to swim in the pool.

There is not much in the way of infrastructure nearby, although a small kiosk a short walk up the road looks like it sold snacks and drinks. There are plenty of rocks to spread out a towel to sit but no loungers or parasols. This is all good and adds to the wild feel of the place and swimming.

It might be very busy in high season but only a few local swimmers when we visited in April.

Parking is easy on a long road with designated bays just above the pool - only a few minutes walk away.

Even early september this place is crowded on a late morning. Apparently kids are not back to school yet, and plenty of parents available to take them swimming. We had to park “up the street”, it must be next to impossible in high season.
Shallow pool, perfect for kids. It’s possible to find a place on the rocks for your towel. I wouldnt spend a day there, but we enjoyed the hour or so

Incredible location for a swim. A natural cut out in the coast like a swimming pool with two openings to the sea. Warm and cozy.

We came here later one afternoon and managed to find a parking spot nearby. We swam in the boat launching area at first which isn't really allowed and the water was cool and refreshing. We found another area nearby with a natural cave. I would imagine it gets crowded in the high season. No sand so you walk over the rocks

Its a lovely place to go and have a bath and jump out of the rocks into those beautiful natural pools. Some people do hang out the entire day but we rather go to the sand beaches and rock beaches.

This natural pool is so beautiful! You are surrounded by rocks, clear water and blue sky. The water is not deep and you are so close to nature. Please remember to come with shoes that can go into water. You need shoes to swim here.

Cannot believe people stay here for a day (I prefer sandy beaches..), but Italians do. Unique place!
I loved to be here for 1-2 hours. If you're lucky you can park your car down the hill, near the sea shore.
