We came because the guide spoke of a nice little fishing port but in August, around 3 p.m. it's not that at all: small beaches and overloaded with parasols, lots of hotels (including the Lookea…..). We do not find the authenticity praised by the guide. After all it depends what you are looking for...

This is the second best beach in Bali, second to Karavostasi Beach. Nice bars and food, sun loungers are cheap think it was €9 for two. Try the fast food place, it’s really nice and not like the fast food you know! The water sports are cheaper here than on the main Bali Beach. Pop into The Sailors Bar for a cocktail, they are out of this world.

We were staying down the road at a hotel and Bali Port was suggested for food as there was nothing open where we were (we stayed for a week in April).
We were disappointed in how the Port looked so aged, as though it was still in the 70/80s. Many places weren’t open, again we realise we went out of season, but it all looked so tired and in need of a facelift.
I’d like to think it would look better in the holiday season but it needs a lot of work.

The most amazing beach. We put on waze Bali beach and we arrived here. We easily found a parking space. The beach is fantastic, not crowded and the water is amazing. We also had a sun-bed and nobody came to us for paying. I recommend this with all my heart.

What a gem 5 lovely beaches all serviced by great tavernas .Bali is hilly but the road train is very handy [ especially if you like Bob Marley ] beach loungers and umbrellas are free on Harbour beach . You can take a catamaran or pirate ship cruise from the small harbour , you can also hire jet skis , pedalos and motor boats . Most days as the fishing boat returns to harbour it is followed by an enormous turtle which swims around the harbour and poses for pictures . Around harbour beach there are some great tavernas especially Posto`s , Valentino`s and Akrogialli .

This is my absolutely favourite place in Crete!
The water is clear and very hot. There are a lot of different fish and flower.
I was on top off the cliff and the view was wonderful.
...few guys jumped into the water :)
!!!!! Take care, there are many sea urchins !!!!
Have a good holiday! :)

We came down two days in a row because we enjoyed it so much. The small beach at the port is packed with sun loungers but if you go to the far end there is a small strip of beach where no loungers are. There is a couple of little caves in the rock which our small children loved playing in and the water was shallow enough for them to walk round too.
There is plenty of restaurants and gift shops and the little train every hour is brilliant for visiting the other beaches which are part of Bali.
Take a walk down the pier for lovely views of the other beaches and to see lots of different fish in the clear waters.

Hi , I’m returning to Bali next week, one of my favourite places. Does anyone know of a hotel gym that can be paid for and used by non residents. I know there used to be one in the high street ,but that has closed down now.
Andrew.

Hi ! am staying in Bali September 2018 and was wondering if there's any advice for young people for places to visit? We do not drive but any good places to see would be very helpful!!

Without driving your staying here will be uncomfortable and boring. Nevertheless discover tripadvisor points: some of them are achieved by city transport and excurtions
