A walk to this crater is included in the 5 euro entrance fee of the small volcano information center. Really nice view from the crater rim of this small but recently active volcano; easy walk, even on flipflops.

We took our children (8 and 9) to have a look at the volcano. They liked the visitor centre and were pretty enthralled at looking into the crater. A very short walk around, so easily manageable for children. A nice view of the salt pans...More

Close to the palma teneguia hotel about 15 minute drive or acessible by local bus. Also close to the Fuencaliente salt pan and the light house. Worth a visit. We spent 1 hour and it was sufficient.

The answer is easy on the bus. You catch the 200 or 201 to Funtecaliente, from the rank of bus stops near the port on south side of town center in Santa Cruz. It was really cheap, around 4 euros. Then walk the 1 mile... More
