The shop itself is located in a charming little town (very little) and is a very pleasant surprise for those not in the know. Their ceramics are stunning their wild (or not) colors and shapes. i did not intend to buy anything as we are downsizing and don't need many things. However, this beautiful teapot in soft colors captivated me immediately. and I knew It would travel home with us. They do except credit cards as their inventory is not inexpensive...just beautiful.

We had the most fun at this studio! We all were able to paint a ceramic mug to take home. There is a shop with works to sell. Also, some interesting items in the garden outside.

Picturesque village, very quaint - many cycling and even a horseback riding trail pass through here. Ceramics are nice and colourful

What a fun magical place to visit. The small village situated along the former Iron Curtain border exudes hope and optimism. Spend an hour or so and try your hand at creating your own masterpiece. Or failing that, just enjoy the moment. The ceramics are just so colorful and cheery that you can't help but smile. Bring home a souvenir that you'll treasure for years.

I have now been 3 times and each time I enjoy even more the ceramic decorating opportunity. One makes the ceramics and then picks them up after they have been fired and they are your Slavonice souvenir!

This place in the middle of nowhere (or right next to the former Iron Curtain) definitely has its own genius loci. Number of permanent inhabitants has fallen to single digits, and yet here, at the end of the world, you can find a very original ceramic workshop selling its own TRULY ORIGINAL products oozing optimism, which is sort of brave considering the history of the place and personal history of the manager. But the main thing - you can make your own piece here, and I mean starting from turning the wheel (if you dare) all the way to putting some art on its face. You would never believe how different the thing is when you put it into the kiln from what you take out the next day! You can have a meal in local restaurant, in good weather even in the garden, and the staff can arrange accommodation for you. If you want to stay for more days, I sincerely recommend bike.
