Place is still very peaceful, without groups of tourists. You can visit the main church and some other parts of the monastery for free. Any visitor can admire old stone carvings and gardens. Place is more interesting than other parts of the city of Cres.

Cres is a tiny place with some venues to visit. We were here during a boat trip and two hours is suffient to see the sides. This church is small and has some history to it but not real impressive.

Place is really human like. It is not closed for visitors during the day. You can walk around, sit down in a church to pray or meditate or just for a rest. It is possible to visit two cloisters and a garden with some sculptures. Museum is closed this year. Bronze figure of Placido Cortese stands in a park near the main entrance. You have parking behind the monastery and bus station two minutes from the main entrance. Monastery is peaceful piece of history and religion.

When tourists are walking around the Cres - city, they usually visit the main parish church and local museum. Franciscan monastery is located not far from the new bus station. It has three interesting parts: church, big cloisters and smaller one (both with many carved details). They have also small museum – the place is closed in the lower season. If you are lucky, you can even walk around the garden. Monks are very helpful. You can admire a monument to Placido Cortese near the main entrance. He was killed by Germans during the WW 2 in Trieste.

Lovely Franciscan church and monastery with an absolutely stunning cloister. There is a museum, too, with some very valuable books and paintings. During the summer, there are concerts in the cloister.

Very peaceful place . In addition to crickets and church bells nothing can be heard . Very peaceful place .
We were there with several family and it was a real holiday . The city and the beaches are close and the whole town has a good tourist offer .
